SSV Housekeeping weirdness

We had some weird Housekeeping issues at SSV. First off, we got into a room that met our request when we checked in at noon, so that was a terrific start. Of course, our key didn't work after we dragged all our luggage to the door, but they sent someone out with new keys in less than 10 minutes, so that was okay.

Fast forward to 11PM and we get a knock on the door. It is housekeeping with a packet of coffee. Well, we didn't request any coffee and there is coffee already here. We asked if perhaps it was another room that requested it, but she insisted it was for us. Okay, fine, thank you, goodnight. Shortly after, Sis was getting the sofabed ready and found a squashed spider in the sheets, so she called to request fresh sheets and an additional blanket since I am mean and won't let her set the heat on 80. Well, after another call and no sheets, finally at 1am she made due with what she had. (I woke up to find the heat on 75 and about killed her, but that is another story;) ) In the morning we heard housekeeping in the hall, so Sis poked her head out and asked for the sheets and blanket. Someone brought them right to her. Well, a few hours later we get a knock on the door and before we can answer it opens and there is a housekeeper with sheets. Okay, thanks. A bit later, knock knock and here is a blanket. WEIRD

We left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door all day everyday after that except for T&T day. It just seemed that housekeeping was coming and going at will and it was not a comfortable situation. One day Sis saw a pair of CMs coming out of the studio next door and they acted strangely. On our last morning, we heard a banging on that same door and a housekeeper shouting very loudly "Let me in there right now" and "Hurry Up" and on and on for a while. It was very strange, and certainly not typical behavior. I have a theory about what was going on, but I will keep it to myself. Suffice it to say that Housekeeping needs improvement at SSV!

Are you talking about Saratoga Springs??? SSR? I think I would have reported the weird behavior. IT seems to me that there might have been some foul play going on.

wow - that sounds strange.

i've never heard mousekeeping banging on doors let alone demanding to be let in.

i've actually turned mousekeeping away and told them not to worry about it because we weren't ready to leave and it wasn't a problem

very very odd

i too would have called down to report it. i would have also opened the door and actually asked what was going on to see if they moved away.
