SSsshh Its still a secret .......... (pre trip)

Just a quick one as time has totally disappeared and we go today

The Cast

Me - Fiona 34 (Disney obsessed!) 5th trip
OH - Dean 36 (Doesn't get it) 3rd trip
DD1 - Rebecca 12(Shares my obsession!) 5th trip
DD2 - Anna 4(Disney brainwashed from birth) 4th trip

The story so far.......

Rebecca turns 13 on Friday the 17th July and to celebrate we have arranged a secret trip to DLRP. We leave today and as yet DD's are still in their beds, none the wiser.

Cases are packed in the living room surrounded by helium Mickey and Minnie ballons which are 4ft tall and a giant helium 13. I also managed to aquire the Mickey's Magical Party window decorations from my local disney store (Large cardboard cutouts of shiny helium balloons and a huge mickey shaped cutout with all the characters and scenes from the park on) It looks fab and I'm so excited

Mickey has left an invitation which says:

Mickey Mouse
requests the pleasure of your company
to celebrate
your 13th Birthday
at his
Magical Party

Pack your bags and lets go party in the
House of Mouse​

It also has a photo of DD's with Mickey!

The Plan.........

Granny's are on their way to watch their faces and DD's should wake up soon (although being a nearly teenager we may need to wait til lunchtime for DD2) Once they find out we'll do some final packing, then its off to Edinburgh this afternoon to fly to Charles de Gaulle. We're staying off site for a night at the Dream Castle then on Friday morning surprise number 2 - the Disneyland Hotel. As we have AP's the girls will just think we're staying off site I'm going to tell them we can't leave our suitcases in the hotel and need to take them to the park and leave them in left luggage for the day, then say lets pop in to show dad the foyer in the DLH

I've tried to be a bit less military about planning this trip and hope to just go with the flow. OH wants to go on TOT and is keen to see how the studios have changed since he was last there. Hving tried this last trip my feet will be staying firmly on the ground. Our last few trips have been girls only. Ive booked premium halfboard. On friday we'll have a birthday tea in Inventions, Saturday BBWWS, Sunday Auberge and Cafe Mickey as a last treat before we come home.

I've packed 4 princess dresses for DD2 and have purposely forgotten Buzz, Sulley and Stitch. My mission this trip is to turn her into a girl Mission impossible I hear you shout - I suspect I may have to relent later today on Buzz! (Although its going to be too hot to run around in a furry costume)

My house is now officially CHAOS

The surprise worked brilliantly. DD's had no idea. It took a few seconds for it to sink in then DD2 ran upstairs to look for her Minnie Dress

wow that sounds brilliant they will be so delighted

I am going on the 23rd aug and had planned to keep it a secret until the morning we were going...................I lasted a whole 2 days before i told them.
