Did you use walmart gift cards to buy them? I'm not sure if you can buy gift cards with gift cards like you can do at Target. But if you did, yay!!!

Nope i just bought the sams Disney cards. for 148.00 i think for the 150.00 total cards.

Walmart i have been using the savings catcher and will apply that to disney cards as well!

Soooo confused. Today breakfast ADR's at BOG went live. I got us a spot at 9:55.

Problem is; without the dining plan I'm not sure it's worth the money. If we were getting in pre park that would be different. But since the park will be opening at the same time as the restaurant, that won't work. DH and I are thinking we might just wait until the next trip. With a September trip we can get in pre-park and we might be on the dining plan. :confused3

But....my cousin wants to eat there and she isn't coming back in 2018. I guess I'll just let her decide what she wants to do.

And if I can't get ADR on my next trip I think I will be upset that I gave this up. Ugh.:faint:

Congrats on getting the ADR!!! Very exciting!
i wish i could give you advice on this.. but i can only give you what i have heard!
"it wasn't worth the money"
But this is also coming from people who like the lunch better then the dinner.. I am the opposite! we LOVED the dinner..
Did you check out the menu?

I'm glad you said that. In the end we decided not to do it. I did keep my cousins reservation until she decides what she wants to do. I also book us an 8:15 just in case the park doesn't open at 8:00

Well, the Sam's Club website allowed me to place the order for the Disney gift card and pay with the Walmart gift card. Yay!

Mo, thanks for sticking around and giving me a Disney person to bounce all of my craziness off. When I tell my dd I have a question she asks me is it's Disney related.

Tonight was a movie night Hope was excited about. We made grey stuff and watched Beauty and the Beast.

I put way to much chocolate pudding and our grey stuff ended up brown. We also have vanilla pudding for Dave and chocolate pudding pie for me.

In other news, Hope has to get a brace for her scoliosis. It will be a couple of months before we get it, but we will have it by the disney trip. I'm not sure how this will affect her ability to walk all day and stand in lines. We shall see. I may have to make our touring plans a little less commando.

That's what we are here for!!!

I'm sorry about this. I will say a couple of people i work with their daughters also have scoliosis.
The first couple of night were tough.. BUT i would absolutely get her a wheel chair or a scooter.
no second thoughts on this! :thumbsup2

I love your Disney movie nights. I need to copy you and start watching Disney movies in anticipation on my trip.

Love the Beauty and the Beast movie night, that is our movie night this week! We will also be making the grey stuff.

Awe, poor Hope having to wear a brace, I hope it won't be too much of a hassle for her.

I'm really hoping it's not bad enough for a wheelchair. I'll have a better idea of how things will go once we get the brace.

Thanks! I'm trying to decide which one we should do the day we leave. Any suggestions?

Well here's hoping your grey stuff turns out grey!

I'll let you know how the whole brace thing goes.

My brothers and I try and watch Goofy Movie the night before our trips because it is all about a wacky family vacation. Maybe do a vote to see what is the favourite movie for your family and save that until the night before? I would recommend something Christmas themed but I can't think of an animated movie that fits the bill. There is always The Santa Clause!

Dave will likely be napping to prepare for the drive. I asked Hope and she said Star Wars because the new one is coming out. Well she thinks we are going in 2018. The new Star Wars movie won't be out yet. Also, she doesn't know we are going at Christmas.

I don't really remember the Goofy Movie. I think we have the one where Max doesn't believe in Santa :santa: ...that may be a good choice!

I really need to buckle down and figure out how much I think we will spend each day on meals.

I used my Disney Rewards Card to order some really cute $25 Disney gift cards. I also have some generic $50 Disney gift cards. Now that we can combine Disney cards, I plan to put the generic card amounts on the cute cards and use one each day for our food. Plus, we will each have a card with out individual spending money.

We've decide where we will have meals, I just need to add up what I think we will order and get a daily total.

We will be braving Sunshine Seasons again. We swore this place off in 2009.

That is what was left after we finished eating (me and my Mom...the little plate was a sample platter for Hope...she actually spit something out and ate a lunchable instead.) I can't remember what these dishes were called. I'm not even sure if they still serve these. But I am NOT getting this again.

I started thinking over the food situation and I'm stuck on the first meal. :sad2:

My original thought was that we would go to DTD and eat at Earl of Sandwich. My birthday is less than a month before the trip, so I thought if I signed up for the Earl club we would get a couple of free sandwiches. Well now I'm reading about people getting free brownies or drink and chips. We may still do that, but I probably won't decide until after I get my coupons.

Another option would be to go to a quick service at one of the hotels and see the Christmas decorations while we are there. :santa:

We will be at Wilderness Lodge & DTD later in the week. So maybe Grand Floridian?!? I've heard that place has lots to see at Christmas. I don't think we've ever been there. So it looks like Gasparilla Island Grill might be a good choice.
:confused3

I love this option!
Have you eaten there before?

Now I'm thinking of parking at the Poly, taking the monorail to GF to see the decor and the view from the beach. Then taking the monorail back to the Poly and eating at Captain Cooks. That place seems to have better reviews.

Drum roll please! :rockband:

We are leaving for Disney in 101 Days!!!! :dancer:

I love this picture. Hard to believe that tiny little thing is taller than me now. :scared1:

Last weekend we watched 101 Dalmatians to celebrate. I even told her that the next time we watch that movie would possibly be 101 days before our Disney trip. We had hot 'dogs' and Cruella "dip" Ville (spinach dip.) I was a bad diser and didn't take any photos. I'll try to do better next time.
