Wow...I'm so sorry that your brother has to deal with the medical issues & that huge bill! That is terrible. I wish there was some sort of non-profit organization to help people in those situations.

Oh Kathy - your poor brother. I would think there is a good chance they can treat his bowel obstruction without surgery. Believe me - no surgeon wants to operate unless they really need to.

I really, really hope your brother is doing better today. Hopefully another obstruction series or Cat Scan will reveal good news!

Thoughts with your brother too. I would have him talk to a bankruptcy attorney when he is able. I know its not a popular opinion on the Dis but your brother deserves to get out from under the financial cloud he is under so he can concentrate on healing and getting back on his feet.

I am so sorry Bob may have to have more surgery. And just ANGRY as he** that he has that much medical bills and debt collectors hounding him. It is not right and not what this country should be about. I am keeping him in my prayers and you too, its really tough when our loved ones are suffering.

Oh, and my one tidbit for OKW is get a Turtle Crawl at the Gurgling Suitcase pool bar. My favoirte WDW cocktail! Have you thought about a section to request?

Thanks, Amy. I am just so frustrated with the whole thing; imagine how he feels.

I will be sure to ask for a drink. I have no idea what the sections are so don't even know what to request. I know that the guy who got it for us asked for us to be near the main building, but those are all supposedly already taken and we are on a waitlist for it.

Well, my brother will need surgery and will have it either Wednesday or Thursday. Tomorrow they will give him berrium (not sure if that is the right erm) down his tube to take more pictures to see if they can find exactly where the blockage is. He'll be in the hospital at least another week. He is so depressed and was in tears because they just adds to those medical bills from the past that there is no way he can pay. Please keep the prayers coming for a safe and successful surgery (although as the doctor said...with all the scar tissue, this can happen another 100 times ).

Be on the look out tomorrow some time for picture number three in the contest.

I too grew up with National Health Insurance !!!I was mortified the first time I went to the ER and before anyone saw me they asked how it would be paid !!
