Hello. My family and I will be staying at SSR in October and I'm wondering if any of you, who have stayed there recently, would have a preference as to where at SSR would be the best location/building to stay in. This past March, we stayed at OKW and the building that we stayed in was rather remote from the main building and a bit inconvenient. We requested the building that we had stayed in because of some of the reviews that I had read ahead of time, but it wasn't the best location to stay in. Bad judgement call. I just want our October vacation to be the greatest ever.

It depends what your needs are. The Springs are the closest to the theme pool & restaurant, 2 min. walk. Congress Park has a fantastic veiw of DTD (my favorite) and a quiet pool but it is a 5 to 7 min. walk to the main pool and restaurantl. Paddock is the furthest and still under construction. Hope this helps.

The buildings are not numbered like OKW. They have sections - Congress Park, The Springs and The Paddock. In each section there are several buildings, they just number the rooms consecutively. So the four buildings at Congress Park at not Bldg 1, 2, 3 and 4. Just Congress Park.

Congress Park is closer to DTD and you can get a view of DTD (we had a top floor and direct on view of DTD in June).

The Springs are right across the drive from the main pool, store, spa, etc. The models are presently in the Springs.

Ive said it before, and ill say it till i hear otherwise:
The Paddock is nice, with only one building open plenty of parking, new rooms, but you can hear a bit of construction noise, and since the bus drivers arent used to the change, buses are not always consistant, and neither is the stop they stop at.
Wouldnet stop me from staying at SSR again :D
