SSR -- Where to stay

We are auctaully goginthis weekend for a short trip, and I'm leaving things up to luck as far as where we stay at SSR. We are going to the Braves game Friday night and AK on Saturday. I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!

However, in April, we will take our "real" Disney vacation for a full week. Since we are using developer points we again have to stay at SSR, and this is the trip I want to do a room/section preference for.

Here are my requirements:
Players: Me, Hubster, 20 month old daughter.
Rquirements: one of the early bus stops, near a good/interesting quiet pool (for the little one), near a playground (for the little one again), and not a far walk to the main buildings.

I've been reading but opinions and facts have been mixed. What section should I request for our April trip?

Grandstand area sounds like it will cover what you are looking for especially for its quiet pool.

I think villas in 8501 - 8836 number range / building would be closest to Carriage House

It won't meet your other requirements (bus stop, or quiet pool), but with the little one, I would request the Springs. There isn't a quiet pool, but you will be right across the street from the main pool. It has a zero entry section, and it's really nice to be able to sit at the water's edge with a baby. Plus, both Congress Park and Granstand are a short walk away if you really want to go to a quiet pool.

The other section I just love is Congress Park. It is right beside the main pool, and is a 5 minute walk to DTD. I don't think you can go wrong with Grandstand, the Springs or Congress Park.

Although we have never stayed at SSR, after reading through lots of posts on the various areas, we requested the Springs. We also have a young one...he will be 25 months at the time of our stay. We figured being in close proximity to the quick-service food area, main pool, and main "hub" would be the best for us. That way DH can always run-out in the morning and grab breakfast for us all....or we can walk over quickly before heading out...or in case we needed anything, the store would be close!
