SSR weekend availability

Due to jobs/money reasons we are late planning our fall trip and there is NO resort available for the Sat and Sun of our trip. We were planning on staying at SSR but its all booked there as well. What are your expert opinions on whether or not a wait list would come through? BTW the week we are looking to go is Oct 30-Nov 6th. TIA!

It's busy around Halloween. I'm not sure if a wait list would come through or not, but certainly a better chance at SSR, OKW or AKV than others. So I would do it but book a a cancellable room only backup.

So bank your points and plan a trip later on in the Spring.

Book what you can, & Waitlist if you really want to go. Book something for cash for the nights that you need. The weekends of F&W, plus Halloween makes me think you may not get the weekend! But, the sooner you do it, the better are your chances.

Did you check for cash availability for those nights? If you book the nights on cash through Member Services (hopefully at the member discounted rate) and your waitlist comes through, they can automatically cancel the cash nights and use your points.

Just yesterday I booked SSR for Oct 6, 9, 10 and 11 and waitlisted 7 and 8. No cash availability for those dates. 7 and 8 are Sunday and Monday. I'm really surprised that 6 (Saturday) was available. Hope the waitlist comes through in the next 2 months.

I'm so excited!!!! Until about a month ago I really thought this trip would not happen and now that it is booked I still can't believe it! It will have been two years since we have been by the time this trip happens. Eeeee!!!!

Now to just save up enough money for all the food and drink at F&W hehe
