Hi all, we have an upcoming stay at SSR (we've stayed there once before, but it was for a grand total of about 10hours, so we're still very unfamiliar with the property)

We have a "preferred" room, so from my understanding that means we'll either be placed in "the springs" or "congress park". I was wondering people's options of the pros/cons of "the springs" vs. "congress park". But mostly, I am curios if you can see Disney Springs from any of the South Facing Congress Park rooms?

We don't mind long walks , so distance to pools/transportation/etc is not an issue for us.
A nice view is probably one of our main desires in any resort

Thanks!

SSR is one of my home resorts, but it's been a few years since I've stayed there. While The Springs is nice because it's right across from the main pool and restaurants, it's also the last bus stop, so at busy times, it may be standing room only by the time the bus gets there. Congress Park is the 2nd to last stop, but when I've stayed there, I've always gotten a seat. From what I remember, the order of the bus stops is Grandstand, Carousel, The Paddock, Congress Park, and The Springs.

You could have a view of DS from your room, but it would have to be a 2nd floor room probably and you may have any issue with trees obstructing your view.

Some studios at Congress Park don't have great views of Disney Springs. But you'll be close to the bridge that goes to DS. The Springs is closer to the main pool and the Carriage House, including Artist Palette and Turf Club. The pool at Congress Park is rather plain, no big theming there.
