Hi, all.
I got back Friday night from a four-night stay at SSR, my home resort. As usual, had a great stay. Invited my bro and s-in-l to come with to celebrate my birthday (my second annual brithday celebration at WDW). I asked for Congress Park first floor and got it.
We went to all the parks, did MVMCP and the member mixer (both were outstanding and the special pin and ornament at the mixer were really nice). On my b-day, went to Epcot where the wait staff at Chefs du France sang happy birthday in French (ohh-la-la). Among the many notable events was an early b-day celebration at Fifties PrimeTime Diner. The guy sitting next to us was mortified to be singled out on his birthday. I told our waiter I'd be just the opposite on my big day. He asked when that was and I told him. A few minutes later, out he pops with a cupcake and birthday card for me. He had everyone around us sing happy birthday. It was great. Two days early, but great.
The weather was perfect and the parks weren't too crowded.
Best of all, the magic was so strong my skeptical brother and s-in-l took the DVC tour and now probably will join the ranks of homeowners. They want AKV.
I wondered when I joined how long I'd be happy coming to SSR. So far the magic hasn't failed me. Joining DVC was and is one of the best decisions I ever made. I love going home and can't wait to plan the next trip.
