It was wonderful! I'd never been to WDW at Christmas season before and loved every minute of it. All the resorts were decorated and the theme parks were, of course, wonderful. We saw the Candlelight Processional and Illumnations at Epcot on a kind of chilly evening, which made it even better for Christmas-themed things. Did Mickey's Christmas Party at MK. That was great fun. We took in the first parade and stood behind a family that had dressed their little toddler girl in the cutest Chritsmas outfit ever. It must have been because almost every character that stopped along the route stopped for her. Princesses blew her kisses. Even Santa spoke directly to her from high atop his float. It was like partying with a rock star. Too precious for words. Good thing she wasn't shy. Celebrated my birthday at Animal Kingdom--great fun. Did the Osborne lights at MGM, too. That was impressive. I think my automatic tinting glasses actually tinted a bit. If you're going to be there over the holidays, be sure to get by the Grand Floridian and the Boardwalk lobbies to see the gingerbread houses.

The nice thing about going in early December was there were almost no lines anywhere. The only thing I didn't like was the Magical Express departure. My airline was one of the ones who allows guests to check their luggage/get boarding passes at the hotel and have the luggage transported via truck to the airport. The line for that was insane (worst line of the week, actually) and it was only about 50 degrees with a stiff wind making it miserable. But, you know, if all I can find to complain about is that, it was a great trip. And I figured it was either a line at SSR or an even longer line at the airport, so even that was a minor hassle. Even as disgruntled as I was at the moment, I'd use the service again.

Thanks for the TR! Was this your first time at SSR? Was it all done up for Xmas too? We still haven't made it over there to see SSR, but it looked nice when we passed it on the way to DTD one night. Glad you had a good trip!

Glad you had a wonderful trip! I'm also curious about the Christmas decorations at SSR - what were they like? We are heading to SSR in 8 days (YES!) and are getting more excited each day!
