Well if you have a car, you'd drive to Fort Wilderness. (Take the same route as the busses take to Magic Kingdom. You'll pass Fort Wilderness on the way.) Then hop a bus from the parking lot to Pioneer Hall. It's roughly 1 mile from the bus/parking lot.
Or you could take a bus to Magic Kingdom then ferry over to Fort Wilderness. The ferry dock is closest to Pioneer Hall.
You could also catch a ferry at the Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge.
I believe you could walk, ferry or bus to Downtown Disney and take a Ft. Wilderness bus directly to the resort. From there an internal bus to Pioneer Hall.
I would take a bus to MK and a boat to FW. Trails End is quite close to the boat docks. See what's left of the "lawnmower in the tree!" Not much is showing any more.
We make a ressie at Trails End on a day we are at MK. We try for an early dinner.....so we leave the park around 4:00....boat over, have dinner, hang out there a while then boat back over and hit MK for evening hours.
Remind me, are there wheelchair-accessible ferries to FW? I think I remember seeing some dock at VWL but I can't remember if they were bound for Contemporary. (Something about green vs blue flag?)

The big ferries that do the FW/WL/MK loop I think are the ones wheelchair-accesible. I think the Contemporary boat is like the one I was on going from GF/Poly/MK, those are really small and no ramp.
I can't remember the colors either!
Best way to Trails End or HDDR is take the bus to MK and boat over to FW. It's a short walk from the dock and a lot less headache with the bus.
