Hey all,
We stayed at POFQ 2 years ago and then off-site in a timeshare last year. How does the studio at SSR compare to a room at POFQ? Are they about the same size? I know the studio has a queen bed, a pull-out couch, and a mini-kitchen.

I'm just trying to picture the size of the room.

Also, I saw a discussion comparing "deluxe" resorts like SSR to moderate resorts. Are there any other differences between SSR and POFQ that we'll notice?

Thanks!

POFQ has two double beds. There is no balcony. There is a small cube sized refrigerator with no freezer section. It has a coffee pot.

SSR studio has one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa. There is a balcony. It has a microwave and an undercounter refrigerator with a small freezer section. It has a toaster and a coffee pot.

To me the biggest difference in the regular hotel rooms at Disney and the DVC studios is the entrance. When you enter a regular hotel room you are in the room as soon as you open the door. With the DVC rooms (except maybe OKW) you have a slight entry way, then the kitchenette and bathroom vanity, then you walk a little further and you have your sleeping area.

Also, like others have mentioned you have a balcony. Of course being from Texas I am a little redneck and have been known to drag my room chairs out onto the walkway at the regular hotel rooms in order to enjoy the outdoors with my coffee.

Thanks so much! I can't wait to go (although I don't want to wish my summer away either).

We were hoping to get a 1 br but only a studio was available the week we have spring break. I had a 2 br reserved at Hilton Grand Vacation club but we decided that staying on property was worth switching to a studio.

Thanks again!
