Anyone care to tell me what this means in English?

It's a discount of $8 per point.

I don't know about SSR, but we are considering AKL, and were told we could take the discount, or developer points. Developer points are double points for the first year, to be used within 7 months. So if we buy in at 200 pts, we get 400 to use right now.

I have talked to a CM about buying into DVC for a few months and I beleive that is now $1,600 because they raised the minimum buy in for new members to 160 points versus 150. They way I understood it was that they were giving a $10 off incentive when purchasing 150 points for a total of $1,500.

Someone else may have better input or a better explanation, but that is how I understood it. Needless to say, we ended up making an offer on a resale for BWV.

I was just speaking to a guide yesterday, and that translates to: for SSR, you get a $10 per point discount which you can use to reduce your total price, or apply as a down payment if you use their financing. I highly recommend you call DVC--they are very informative, patiently answer all your questions, and apply absolutely no pressure!

when we joined back in december we got 220 points and got $10 off per point for the 15 year anniversary discount but we also got another $5 per point discount because we were referred by another dvc member, my brother. don't know if they are still doing that but you could use me Andrea doiron if you need to

Can the developer points be used for AKV stays or are they only good at the other resorts? Since they have to be used in 7 months and cannot be banked
there are some limitations it seems.
