We are a family of 4 with a 4year old little girl and 7 year old little boy. We are going this October and it is our first time staying at SSR. I really need help in deciding which section to request for our room. Before I get too involved in this, we traded our RCI weeks to get into here so would we be using the DVC owners room that was traded in?? If that is the case I guess this is a moot question?? If this is not the case what section is best?? What pool is the best?? Closest to Artists palette? Not really worried about bus stops since we will have a car. Thanks so much.
Best views too??

I would suggest the Springs section wbich is the closest to the main pool and restaurants. Also community hall which has kids crafts and other things for them to do as alternatives. Its the last bus stop of 6 i believe but if you have a car then no worries. Also u are closest to where the boat launch is to go to DTD.

The only other section I would even consider is the paddock. Just a 7-8 minute walk to the springs section. But this section also has a nice pool. Also has a slide and kids water play area that your kids would Love. They also do the pool party gamez and stuff there during the afternoon hours too. And btw there's no set room for any 1 person.

Just ask the person with whom you are trading,to add your request or preference to the ressie. Have fun

The Springs section is closest to the main pool, the health club/spa, and Artist Palette, as was previously mentioned.

Personally, I love the Congress Park and the Grandstand sections the best. Congress Park faces Downtown Disney and the view from the quiet pool is spectacular. I would pick the CP pool over the Springs crowded main pool in a heartbeat.

The Grandstand section has its own pool, a pool bar, a mug fill station and a water play area that your child might really enjoy. It is also within walking distance of the Springs (probably a tad closer than Congress Park is).

The Grandstand section is the first bus stop while Congress Park is in the middle of the loop and the Springs is last.

I am an SSR owner and we don't have assigned unti. We book any size unit/any date on points. Personally, I love the resort. A common complaint is its very spread out, but visually it is striking. In my most recent TR there are pictures of the resort as I just stayed in one of the treehouse villas in June.

Enjoy!
