SSR Section?

My wife and I have a studio booked for an extended weekend getaway (Oct 19-22). It's our first trip with our son (he'll be 10 months old) and our first trip without a car.

Which section of SSR should we request?

My wife was thinking the Grandstand because it's the first bus stop.

I am thinking The Springs because it's closest to the Carriage House.

The 2 grandstand buildings near the Grandstand pool are as close or closer to the Carriage house as the Springs buildings. (you have to walk past the pool to get to dining from the Springs) There are 2 "farther" buildings at grandstand though.

I have seen too many standing room only busses by the time the bus reaches the Springs to enjoy that section, but that's my preference. Some complain that a bus might arrive full and require SRO when arriving at Grandstand, but I have never experienced a time when seated people get off and you can get a seat for the ride to the park.

Another popular choice is Congress Park if you like the idea of walking to DTD, but that does make for a long walk to the Carriage house so it is not for everyone.

The Springs is close and convenient to the main pool and restaurants, but we really enjoyed our last stay at The Paddock. It has a brand new pool and slide and has counter service available at the new pool area as well. Buses were never a problem. Our villa was close to the bus stop and hardly no wait for the bus.

from what I can tell, the time you are going will be rather busy. So I'd request Grandstand (first stop) to reduce the possibility of the bus being full before it gets to the Springs (last stop).

We've been on the buses at all times of the year when this has happened. We've also been staying in the Springs when this has happen to us.

So I'd aim to avoid this situation entirely.
