Hi everyone! I'm super excited to have just booked a 1 bedroom villa at SSR for Oct 29th - Nov 2! This will be our first DVC trip with our first trip home to AKV coming up in Jan!!!

I booked last minute, for me anyway, and really have no clue about SSR! I've seen pics and looked at info on allears etc, etc. But I'm wondering where in the resort I should request a room!

The whole resort looks ginormous and I don't want to be miles from everything! The most important place for us to be is near a bus stop and the pool! We'll be having breakfast in the room in the morning and other meals at the parks! So, bering near Artist Palette isn't that big of a concern expect for a quick trip in to buy more supplies or a cold soda.

I was thinking of requesting The Springs because what I read said it's near the pool etc. Is that a good call?!

I also wondering about views! I prefer not to look at the parking lot! Any suggestions!?

TIA!!!

The Springs is where the main pool is. Ask for a fountain view, there aren't any fountains in the parking lot that I know of. :goodvibes

Another great location is the grandstand, it is the first bust stop coming and going.

We stayed in Congress Park. Loved that it was quiet.

I just wanted to add that you can get on a bus at a close bus stop and get off when it stops near the pool/Artist Point stop before it exits the Resort. Do it in reverse to get back to your room. Does that make sense?

We just came back from a two night stay at SSR (added to our week at AKV)-we had a lovely view of the water-I believe it was 3412 (a 1BR) and a two minute walk to the bus stop and main pool. It is a very pretty resort! We took the boats back from DTD one night and it was a short walk to the Springs also.
