i tried to run a search on the DIS, but it said that there were no matches on "SSR"....yeah right!

does anyone know where i can find an image of SSR's resort layout? we're heading down there this weekend and would like to possibly add another room request to my reservation. any suggestions as to which areas / buildings have the best views? we have no problem being far away from the lobby, the pool or the bus stations.....in fact, the 'quieter', the better.....

There are maps of most resorts on this site (look up at top of this page and you'll see a link to "Resorts").

Here's the link to the SSR MAP

If you want to be far away from the lobby, you probably won't have a problem getting that request. :)

I suggest Grandstand. That area seems quieter than most and yet close enough to everything you want.

Don't worry....it took me a while to figure it out too since I forget this is an entire WDW information site and just not the forums. Sometimes I'm a little slow on the uptake.

We recently stayed at SSR in the Paddocks section and were very happy with our room. We too perfer to be a little more removed from the action. Our room was quiet, not too far from the bus stop and our view of the water and fountain was great. Overall the resort is very nice and relaxing. In looking over the resort in general, it appears that the design was carefully planned to maximize the potential views. Enjoy your trip:goodvibes

What type of views are in the grandstand section? Does it have a DTD view? :wizard: Thank you

Question answered here: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=22153869&postcount=1738

No DTD views. Congress Park is directly opposite DTD. the Carriage house is opposite the West Side parking lot. Grandstand is opposite the LBV golf course.

This satellite image shows you where things are in relation to each other. It's from a year ago. Still shows Grandstand under construction though it's all finished and open now. http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1497253

As to your search, I believe you cannot search using strings of three or less characters, thus your "no results".
