Hi,

Someone who is renting points from me is getting 2 studios. She requested that they be next to each other and called SSR directly tonight to try to ensure this. She was told be the rep that each building at SSR only has one studio in it and that not only would it be impossible to have 2 studios in the same bldg, that it will likely not even be in the same section! Given the massive size of SSR, I just cannot believe that each bldg only has 1 studio. Does anyone know if this is really true? :confused3

Thanks!

However, it is true that there are none side by side. The rooms are set up so that they can be combined into one and two bedroom units. The closest we've ever gotten two studios was when each was a few doors down from the elevators but in different directions.

We stayed there last Sept and had a 2 BR and 2 studios. I don't believe that there are studios side by side (someone else might know) but you should be able to get pretty close. One of our studios was across the hall and down a door from the 2 BR. The other studio was quite a ways down the corridor but we could see their balcony from ours. We were all on the same floor.

We had 3 studios on our visit last month. They were all on the same floor, but not right next to each other.

Studios are not side by side. But the CM's can probably get you close if there are unit's available.

All studios in SSR are the studio portion of a 2-br lockout. There are 24 2-br lockouts per building, hence 24 possible studios per building.

The make-up of each building is:
24 2-br lockouts, 20 2-br dedicated, and 2 GV's.

Non-members are not allowed to make requests for their villas. Only the member can add requests. Sound like a high maintenance renter to me.

Here is a link for the SSR building general layout that someone posted a while back. Maybe it will help..

You guys are a plethora of information!! God bless you, everyone.

We just put in a bid at SSR. After we made our bid, I saw something that said all of their studios have one bed and one pull out couch.

Is that true??

Are there any studio rooms with two beds. We bought enough points for our family of 4 to stay at a studio there every year but I don't want to make my children sleep on a couch bed.

Now I am rethinking our decision.

Is OKW really the only one that has two beds in a studio?

The pullout couches at SSR are VERY nice. I would much prefer to have a studio with a sofa to sit on during the day than the two beds that are in the studios at OKW.

If I stayed in a studio, I'd rather have two queen beds to sleep on. I can sit on the bed or in a chair to watch TV.

The sleeper sofa in the studio is only double sized.
