Love both of these resorts, actually I love them all, but I'm torn between SSR and BWV for our May trip. We will be traveling as a group of four adults and will need a two bedroom villa. Our two friends have never been to Disney World and we'd love to give them a fantastic first experience there. Which resort do you think is best for villa accommodation, location and things to do when not at the park? Any suggestions would be appreciated:) Thank you DVC family!

BWV, 2 parks, the boardwalk, YC/BC area, all within walking or boat distance.

I would choose BWV, same reasons as what others have said.

If BWV is available for your dates I would definitely choose it. If you're going the beginning of the month Flower and Garden will be fun for your group. Jellyrolls is also lots of fun. Plus all the other things that everyone has mentioned. BWV all the way!

I would 100% choose the BWV for the location. BWV is a beautiful resort and there's so much to do within walking distance.

Another vote for the Boardwalk! We own there and it's a great resort. It's close to Epcot and HS and there's a lot of restaurants to check out in the area, too.

Boardwalk. I think that walking right into Epcot through your "own" back door is really impressive.

BW is our DVC home resort but on last minute reservations we are at SSR...which we just happened to be at 2 weeks ago for 2 weeks...we were in the Grandstand section over looking the 18th hole...lovely....
and the Turf Club restaurant is great as is the food court...

but BW is wonderful.. the lake, the restaurants, Flying Fish, walk or boat to Epcot or DHS...very impressive.....
enjoy...
