I think the Member Homecoming (a few days after the resort actually opens for guests) is the extent of the festivities. If there were press conferences or other formal gatherings planned, word certainly would have leaked onto these boards by now.

Posts that I've read here seem to indicate that other resort openings (BCV) have happened with little fanfare. I think folks at BCV received a commemorative pin, and I'm thinking something may have been said about a formal ribbon cutting ceremony.
