Planning a trip for myself and three adult children (ages 20, 20, and 23). I think the one bedroom at SSR would be a nice fit for us. Can anyone tell me if there is storage in the main living area in the one bedroom? From what I can see, the only thing that could be considered storage is the lift up coffee table. The bureau in the bedroom looks like it has ample storage, but a little inconvenient if the folks in the bedroom are sleeping and the living room dwellers are up early. It also appears that there is no door leading from the main bedroom into the bathtub/sink area. Is that correct? None of this is a deal breaker, I just want to know what we're working with so we can plan ahead. Thanks so much to anyone kind enough to respond!

Also, you can always use the kitchen cabinets for more storage, I’ve found that almost all the DVC resorts I’ve stayed at the cabinets are far from full (could move plates or something to another cabinet for your stay).

Thanks so much for the responses! Utilizing the kitchen cabinets is so clever. I hadn't thought of that. Does anyone know if the ottoman is also a storage area? I hadn't seen that in any of the videos I've watched so its probably just wishful thinking! Thank you!

We stayed in one a few months ago. No door from bedroom area to tub area. There isn’t really storage in the living area for suitcases and such. My kids’ suitcases had to be pushed to the side, but were basically in the way (they kept all their clothes in them). Could have possibly placed them in the entry area. Ended up having my daughters between the Murphy bed and table and my sons by the bar. Also, when the bed is pulled out, the ottoman has to have a place to go, so kind of limits floor space. We did enjoy the 1 bedroom and resort, would stay there again!

I like to unpack and move into a space and not live out of my suitcase which is why I ask about storage. I may be staying in the living room areas since I enjoy early coffee on the verandah. Thank you for verifying there isn't a door to the tub area! It was hard to tell in the videos. But it looks like a functional and beautiful villa! So glad you enjoyed your stay!

When I travel with another guest using the living room, they use the front hall closet for their hanging clothes and shoes, the shelves on either side of the murphy can fit a few things, the coffee table storage inside, and if you're not actively doing loads of laundry, that too can be used to store - stacking stuff on top of the washer, and even using the inside of the dryer. I never liked living out of suitcases or having my guests do so either, so better to try to figure out places to put stuff away. I admit I do favor the Boardwalk's reno rooms as they still maintain a dresser with drawers in the living room instead of the small trundle bed - those with larger parties probably rue missing that bed, but my travel party never exceeds 4, so that bed is never needed.

Having drawers in the living area would have been ideal, but hanging items in the closet is a good alternative. Using the unused laundry area is an excellent bit of advice! Thinking outside the box, or bureau in this case! Thank you!

I forgot to mention - if the rooms have connecting doors, then there's no front closet. Sorry - forgot that detail! The laundry area does work well for stackable/foldable clothes though and at least has a door that can close so you don't have to look at it.

On the suitcase front, if you take everything out of them and put in the closet, you can store them away under the King size bed in the master to get them out of the way.
