SSR on Interval's Getaway list

I don't know how many of you are II members but without using an exchange week you can rent SSR for a full week. This is bizarre. For instance Aug 8 thru Aug 15 (a full week!!!) for $2374 for Interval Gold members. That's 243 points. 2374/243 =$11.41 a point and you don't have to own a thing. That's a lot cheaper than I rent my points for.

Plenty guys on the retal boared let their points go for $10.00, which seems to be the mean price.

I'm not too sure your numbers are right. When I divide the $2374 by the 243 points, I get $9.77 per point. If you are not a Gold Member it would be $2399 divided by 243 points which is about $9.87 per point. Although you don't pay an exchange fee with the II Getaways, not sure if you still need to pay the "$95 resort fee". I imagine most people who are paying to "rent" accommodations from another Diser who owns DVC aren't II members themselves and don't have access to SSR this way. I find it interesting that there are plenty of openings via this method versus the exchange route. Disney has found yet another way to make money.

Oh...here is something that is even stranger....
Disney Saratoga Springs is coded DSS in the Interval International system for exchanges. The Disney Saratoga Springs accommodations that are showing up in the Getaways section is coded DS1.....how interesting....some of Disney's private stock? It doesn't show up in the II Resort Directory with the second code either.

The different code may indicate that this is developer rental inventory. It's not weeks which were deposited by members to do exchanges. That would make sense to me anyway.
