I'm back in SSR for the week and can't wait to write about all my adventures. We arrived today and first things first, stopped at Wetzel's Pretzels! Saw the big balloon at DTD for the first time, I wanted to go, but mom and dad didn't want to pay the $10 for me...maybe sometime this week! We were able to check into SSR early, around 1pm. We are in a studio in the Carousel, right around the corner from the fake horses. I plan to go for a midnight ride like Paul Revere with my tri-cornered hat from the American pavilion. Went for a dip in the pool, well, I didn't, but everyone else did. Now it's time for a trip to Wal Mart to stock up on food and beverages (hopefully there's some Blue Moon in my future). Then we'll find something for dinner and head to MK for EMH. I'll be checking in regularly with pictures too! So glad to be back home!

SSRMonkey -- welcome back!!! Great to hear you're back at WDW. Let us know what you think about staying in the Carousel section, and especially, get someone to smuggle you aboard the "balloon" for the flight and send us lots of pics! OOps -- I've forgotten your best bud's name -- did he get there successfully with you this time?

Can't wait to see some pics!!!:woohoo: My kids loved your last report in Dec and were looking all over SSR on our last trip 'for that funny monkey' to give him a :grouphug:!!!

Well, let me get everyone up to speed on our trip down, then I'll let you know what we did this evening.

We started out early Saturday morning from northwest PA, thinking we would get to Georgia. On the way we saw a semi that had some engine trouble...actually the engine blew up. Luckily no one (including the driver) was hurt and we got to see fire trucks and everything! The firemen (and women) put the fire out really fast. Then, in Georgia, we saw someone rear end someone else in a construction zone. Not good, but everyone was ok in that accident too. I'm just glad we made it without incident.

Once we got to Georgia, Mom and Dad decided that we could make it to Daytona Beach to stay for the night. We went to the ocean this morning and I got to dip in my toes. It was a little cold and I saw a dead crab, but all in all it was nice...until I got in the car and got in trouble for bringing the crab along. (My friend Koala said he wanted seafood for dinner. Mom said that was a little too fresh...and stinky!)

Now back to the evening...after the Wal Mart run and Subway for dinner, we headed to MK. First stop...Laugh Factory. I was disappointed that they didn't use my joke, but I'll try again. We waited for about 10 minutes for Winnie the Pooh and walked right on to Snow White. After that, we headed to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. That ride is awesome in the dark, but my friend Koala got a little motion sickness. I told him to take his Dramamine, but he didn't listen (as usual). We walked right on to Haunted Mansion and I took some pictures next to my burial plot outside, but they didn't turn out very well in the dark. Pirates and Jungle Cruise were both walk ons also. Glad we rode the Jungle Cruise to check it out, but I don't think we will go on that again...not a big fan. Although, I did learn a new joke. Why does Tigger bounce all the time? So he doesn't step on Pooh of course! Hahaha!

After the Jungle Cruise we took a rice krispie treat break to power up for Buzz Lightyear. I got to steer and dad kicked mom's butt. After Buzz we went to Stitch's Great Escape. This was my first time on that and I'll say it will probably be the last. I don't like getting wet and no one around me likes it when I get wet either! (P-U!)

We did a little shopping and headed back to the transportation center. In all we rode 9 rides in about 3 hours. Not bad when I thought the crowds would be crazy. MK had extra magic hours tonight and it really cleared out after Wishes.

Tomorrow we'll head to Epcot (my favorite) for some Soarin, Test Track, Nemo and the Flower and Garden Show. We're planning on hitting Toy Story also if the crowds cooperate. There should be lots of photo opps tomorrow too! I'll keep you posted!

Looking forward hearing of your endeavors. How is the transportation to the parks from SSR? Enjoy Epcot it is our favorite as well, stop in and listen to the The Britain's (Beatles cover band) in Britain, they are great. What building is closest to the busing? we have a wheel chair person with us.

We have our car with us, so I'm not sure how quickly the busses are running. I will volunteer Koala to take the bus while we drive and see who gets there faster. That might be a tough sell since the last time we split up Koala ended up in a different time zone.

The building we are in (7100) is right across the street from one of the bus stops. There are several others though that are also quite close to the bus. I would just ask to be close when you check in.

I didn't sleep very well last night. Not because of the beds, but because this huge fish kept staring at me with his big eyes. And he kept swimming around while I was trying to sleep.

Well, we're off to Epcot to do some Soarin and to catch up on Figment's latest adventures.

We started out the day in Epcot with a ride on Soarin. The wait wasn't long at all, we were in and out in about 25 minutes. We got fastpasses before we went on and were due back in about 45 minutes so we went over to Nemo. As usual there was no wait and we also walked right in to Turtle Talk with Crush. Mom and Dad didn't let me sit up from with the little kids, but I had a good time anyway. We headed back to Soarin again and rode for the second time! Then we went to Test Track to grab fastpasses, but not before I could build this awesome sand sculpture. Aren't I talented?

We hit up the Coke Refreshment place to get some Ginger Ale and whatever the stuff is from Mexico...hopefully it's not a pig byproduct...

Mrs. Potts and I sang "I'm a little teapot" together.

By that time we were hungry and decided to head over to Beaches and Cream for lunch, but I got distracted by Simba!

A word to anyone who is thinking about trying this move with their cat...don't! At least not if your cat weighs 16 pounds like my cat Chloe. She almost crushed me.

At Beaches and Cream I had a cheeseburger and fries and orange sherbet with sprinkles. I asked for a double shot of sprinkles since they are my favorite. Sprinkles on top and the bottom of the dish. Awesome!

By the time we were done eating we headed back to Epcot for Test Track. They were having problems, so we had to wait for a little bit even with our FP. I've been pleasantly surprised with the crowds though. Epcot was not busy at all today. Even the parking lot wasn't too packed. It's nice, especially since it's so hot! Thousands of sweaty people and me don't get along. Unless it's Richard Simmons' Sweatin to the Oldies. I can't get enough of that.

Koala and I found some nice ladies on the way out.

I also found my friend Dopey. Koala says we're a lot a like. I hope he meant because I'm going to be a movie star someday...not because I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed.

We headed back to SSR and went to the pool. It was busier today than yesterday, but I think it's a little hotter today. Dad had his pool mullet going on. Dry in the front, wet in the back. I feel that it's the only way to go without putting your head under water.

Now we're headed to do some shopping at the outlet mall. Dad finds the best shoes in Florida. Our shoe stores in PA are no comparison to the variety here. Then we'll head to DHS for EMH tonight. Toy Story Mania, here I come! I've been practicing with the shooting game on the Wii. I'm expecting a noticable improvement in my score due to my enhanced paw, eye coordination.

I love all your pictures with the monkey and koala at Epcot. I have a cabbage patch kid that goes with me everywhere and I take pics to prove it. I have shots of him at the Grand Canyon, Waimea Canyon and all over Hawaii, Death Valley, Lake Powell, Glen Canyon Dam, Cancun, Vancouver, Aruba, Turks and Caicos, on cruises and more. It really is lots of fun. Now we need to get you in a couple of shots. Looking forward to reading more.

SSR Monkey, where in northwest PA do you live? I grew up in the huge metropolis of Youngsville, but now live in southeast PA, near Delaware.

Enjoying your trip report and photos.

Shoe shopping was a success and then it was time for dinner. I want my baby back baby back baby back...Chilis! We don't have those at home and I love the bottomless chips and salsa. I met this cool guy who made me a balloon monkey. He thought it was wierd that I wanted a RED monkey. He says, oh, he's sunburned! Um, duh, look at me. There are such things as natually red monkeys.

It looked like rain so we stopped back at SSR to grab ponchos just in case and headed to DHS. There were lots of spaces open in the first lot. Dad weaved through several rows to get closer and we walked right in.

Toy Story had a 40 minute wait and no FP so we headed to the Muppets store to see my buddy Fozzie Bear. By the time we got back the line for Toy Story was out the door. We should have gotten in line right away. So we gave up for the time being and went to Rockin Roller Coaster. That was a walk on. We haven't been on that since 2003 and I forgot how cool it is. Mom HATES that ride and almost lost the salad she ate for dinner, but Dad and I love it. It reminds him of how much he wants one of those 2010 Camaros he saw at the end of Test Track. Mom says, "keep dreaming".

We went back to Toy Story and the wait was down to 30 minutes, but as soon as we got in line it changed to 55. Bummer. It wasn't so bad though. We were out in about 35 minutes and I must say all that Wii that I play while Mom and Dad are at work really helped. We rode again shortly after that and only waited about 25 minutes. My high score today was 202,200. I can't take all the credit though, Koala helped me aim.

Now we're back at SSR to prepare for tomorrow. Lots of exciting things happening tomorrow. First things first, we're going on the Segway tour in Epcot. I hope that I get to ride on Dad's Segway...Mom is a bit of a klutz and I think we might fall over. At least they give you helmets! Then, my grandparents are coming for the rest of the trip. They haven't been here for about 15 years, so there's lots for them to see and do. I have to get rested up for another day of monkey business. I'll post more pictures tomorrow.

Love your pictures and trip report!!!

That fish with the big eyes...scary ;)
