SSR location question

We will be staying at SSR in June for 10 nights in a studio. This will be our very 1st DVC stay and we are SO excited. From the information I have gathered, I think the Grandstand is probably the best fit for our family. Can anyone tell me which section in the Granstand would be best to request, or a particular view? I would like to be close to the quiet pool and bus stop if that is possible. If not then being close to the bus stop would take priority. Also, does anyone know how long it would take to walk to DTD from the Grandstand general area? Should walking to DTD even be something to consider in the June heat, we are fairly fit and don't mind walking, but our children will be 9 &7 and don't know if it would be too much for them? Rather than request a particular section of the Grandstand, just state your preferences the way you did in your post. That gives the room assigner a good understanding of what is important to you. Just stating a view probably won't get you what you really want.

Agree, request a room next to bus stop and quiet pool. That building by the pool and closest to the bus stop would be rooms 8100-8400. The other building would be rooms 8500-8800. It is a short walk to the main area from there, but quite a long one to DTD Marketplace. Don't know if I'd suggest it with your kids. There is a path that will take you to the Westside if you want to go to Cirque or Disney Quest. Otherwise, I suggest just taking a bus or do what we prefer; to walk to the main area and take the boat.
