We spent 7nights 2bedrm lockout. Only one problem check-in was slow. But when we got in our rm all was forgiven. What a great view of DTD at night. We were in the building at the end close to DTD 5 min walk over.Room was great no problems with anything.Walk to main pool 7 min. may be to small when all of the buildings are done. But it looks great! Slide is alot of fun.Food good.Fun to see the other buildings going up. Spent most afternoons at the quiet pool and the construction was not a problem at all.Anyway DW and I were very please and feb. cant come soon enough for our next say home!!!!!!

We went to SSR in August. No wait at check-in, but I did not get my DTD view.

We loved SSR and will stay there again sometime in the future.::yes::

we toured SSR this past Sat 10/9
some of the rooms have excellent views of Downtown Disney
Before we went over, while having lunch at Fulton's we asked the server if there was a walkway connecting to SSR and he said no. Is that to keep it quiet until completion?
Also looks like we can only come and go through one entrance? One entrance just one way?
we did get our SSR pins for taking the tour

You can walk over to Fultons from SSR we did.Our view was right across from fultons. There are two exits right now but only 1 entrance for now but there will be two I think.

We were swimming at SSR on Saturday, loved the pool and the slide! What a beautiful resort!!!! Lacee

We walked from SSR to DTD in about 5 minutes, too! We had no trouble finding the walkway. If you walk along the water on the sidewalk, it eventually curves around past the last bldg and toward the street. You walk over the bridge, and that's right where the buses pick everyone up at the end of the shopping area, by Rainforest. It was a pleasand walk.:D

Glad you had a great time. We loved the walk to DTD. It meant DD 16 months could sleep in her stroller without being disturbed to get on bus or in car.

glad to hear all was well. we just bought our points at SSR. waiting till dec 2205 or jan of 2006 to go again.

I am definately a SSR fan! I stayed there a few weeks back and had a hard time leaving. I love the location next to DD. MY DH and I had many nice strolls to from SSR to DD. We also liked the food at Artist's Palatte and loved the High Rock Springs pool. Our last day there we splurged on spa treatments. Let's just say that SSR has some great features! Congrats to those that are new SSR buyers. I really don't think you'll be disappointed. I didn't even think I'd be that crazy about the New York theme. I live in the Midwest so half the reason I love Florida is for the palm trees. I ended up loving the colors & theming of SSR. I was really surprised how much it grew on me as I stayed there! Can't wait to go back in December!:earsgirl:

When SSR is finally finished, there will not be very many DTD views. Lots of water views (ponds/pools), but not DTD views.

I bought SSR while on the 10/9 Magic, site unseen. We stopped by this past Saturday before heading home. Wow! I was impressed with the layouts of the rooms. Loved the decor. I was expecting something more on the darker side but was surprised to see the brighter colors. The pool is really nice. Can't wait till June.

In proportion to the size of the entire resort, you are correct. But there are nearly 200 rooms in the three buildings that overlook Downtown Disney. Of those, we can reasonably assume that 70-80% have a DD view. That's about the same number of rooms in the entire Wilderness Lodge DVC wing, and pretty darn close to the entire Beach Club buildout.

Have booked feb,may and will book oct 05 in about 3wks.All at our new home SSR.:wave2:
