SSR -> Jacksonville -> MCO

Next week I’ll be at WDW for a little mini vacation before a work conference in Jacksonville. We will be leaving SSR Friday (non-park day, probably head to Disney Springs).

What time would you suggest we be on the road? Our conference begins Friday evening at 7:30pm in downtown Jacksonville.

What route would be recommended?

We will be heading back to MCO on Monday for our 4:30pm flight.

The simplest route would be I-4 to I-95 to Jacksonville. Expect it to take ~3 hours. You'll deal with construction and rush hour traffic along the way. I'd suggest leaving Disney about 1 pm to avoid the worst traffic and give you time to settle in before your conference begins.
