All the SSR pools I've been in (over T-giving, usually) are heated (I've never used the Paddock pool, but have used Grandstand, the main pool, and Congress Park's pool)...some may prefer them to be heated to a warmer temp than you'll find...it's not "bathwater warm"...but it's definitely comfortable once you start moving around (I swim for exercise)...the biggest issue I've found is getting out of that heated pool on a cold morning (may be less of an issue mid-afternoon!)...wet and cold are not a happy combination! But it doesn't stop me...I swim most days almost every Disney vacation I take...as a "baseline comparison": we come from the Washington, DC area...so we get colder more often than FLoridians are accustomed to! But we're not northeast or upper midwest, so what we find to be "cold" would probably feel balmy to someone from Boston! Conversely, what I find comfortable may feel icy to a Floridian!
Good luck...
