We have a grand villa booked for our trip in October. There will be 7 of us (DH, me, dd10, ds8, ds7m, my mom & dad).

We plan on spending a lot of time at the resort during our week stay. We are only going to MNSSHP and EPCOT. The rest of the time we will be at SSR. The kids love just hanging at the Community Hall and the pool. With that being said, they would really like to stay close to the new pool. However, with that being said we really liked the view of the golf course we had in the Grandstands. Opinions on where we should request would be appreciated.

Also, can you please tell me what grand villa living is like? We usually stay in a 2br. Is there anything we should know or is there anything majorly different about staying in the gv than a 2br other than space.

thanks!

They are 2 stories, master downstairs, other 2 bedrooms up. W/D is upstairs also. 4th bathroom is off the kitchen.

Huge dining table!!!

We've stayed in GV's in Congress Park(our favorite section) the last 2 Thanksgivings. Have another one booked for our F&W trip this year.

You'll find it hard to go back to a 2br.

We stayed in a GV with 11 people and a view of DTD.

You will have a lot of space! One of the things I really love about the resort is that kids can go outside and run! Not so easy at BWV, which is our other home!

In the GV, the two upstairs bedrooms are each basically what you'd expect in a standard hotel room. Two double (Queen?) beds and a bathroom. Since we were in the Master, I'm not absolutely clear on the details of the upstairs. I do remember that the "loft" upstairs made it a bit noisy for the kid sleeping on the couch in the Great Room, but you probably won't have anyone on the couch.

There is also a really nice entry area where we posted our favorite memories from each day on the Mickey paint samples from Home Depot at night when we returned to the room. It was fun to see the wall develop as the week went on!

2 queens each in each room upstairs. We didn't have anyone on the sofa bed down stairs, but if the upstairs people closed their doors the noise would have been minimal in my opinion unless the W/D was running.

Bring the router, helps when you have 3 laptops.
