SSR--Bus service? and What do you love about it?

Hey everyone,

We love our "home" resort of OKW but may be staying at SSR our next trip (several reasons that are not important, except that we can't stay at OKW even though that's what we would prefer).

I am concerned about the bus service, however--SSR seems so HUGE--is the bus service pretty good?

Also, what do you *love* about SSR?

We are scared to stay anywhere but "home" but are trying to tell ourselves that it might be fun to try something different.

We've stayed there twice. First time bus ran fine. 2nd time busses were ...shall we say not great...

We've stayed at OKW years ago our first trip and really enjoyed it. SSR and OKW (to me) have less of a Disney feel, just due to the layouts...condo feel vs hotel. If you are going to try somewhere diiferent I would suggest BWV, I enjoy the BWV, being able to walk down to the hotel lobby, great views, walk on the Boardwalk early in the AM etc... walk or boat ride to EPCOT and Hollywood Studiosand avoid busses. Of course I am a believer that any day at Disney no matter where you stay is Great day!

SSR - the grounds are Beautiful; the atmosphere is quiet; there are plenty of pools, and all but one come with a snack bar with libations; the busses are just fine (stop being a rush; you are on vacation!); there are Rockers located at various places to rest your weary Disney feet; and DTD is a walk away.

Yes, SSR is different; no long hallways! the condo feel is a good change from the hotel genre of other places.
