I got back from our second trip home about 2 weeks ago and it was wonderful. One of the things I noticed was at night when DBIL and DSIL would go to the quiet pool there were a ton of bugs flying around in the stairwells at the end of our building. We were in Congress Park, the building with the shortest walk to DD. Anyone else have this problem? I remember reading about this shortly after it opened last May.

We were there this past weekend and noticed a bunch of little greenish flying bugs around our patio most of the day. We also noticed quite a few of those little lizards around.

Hope you had as great a time as we did despite the bugs!!!

Maybe it was those pesky love  bugs. I think I read somewhere that they are very active in May and September. Susan

These kinds of posts always tickle me. WDW was carved out of Florida Wetlands (read swamp). There's still a lot of unspoiled wetlands out there to keep the indigenous bug and critter life going. At times we're going to see some June Bugs, cockroaches (who have lifed in swamps for tens of millions of years) and geckos. The best that the grounds keepers try don't and should'nt keep all of this wildlife down. I say shouldn't because we all know that the heavy pesticides (which is the only way to eradicate this life) have ecological side effects.
