I Have Read That People Catch The Bus To Ssr At The Parks To Go To Dtd. Are The Buses Really Crowded With People Going To Dtd Via Ssr. We Are Going In 21 Days For Our First Trip Home And Don't Want The Bus Situation To Be A Problem Since We Have 2, 3 Year Olds Going. We Have Stayed At Okw 3 Times Before And Love The Fact That The Buses Are Not Crowded. Anyone Have Any Observations Or Can Compare The Crowdness Of The Bus Going To Ssr Versus The Buses Going To Okw.

You should really ask on the DVC board. I know your question involves transportation, but other SSR owners would be more able to help you.

I'm told that the amount of bus service depends on what the demand consistently is, not what the demand was predicted to be several months ago or how many rooms there are at the resort. If there has consistently been a lot of usage of the Saratoga Springs bus stop by Downtown Disney guests so as to fill up buses coming every 20 minutes, the buses would be coming every 15 minutes (or less) rather than every 20.

We stayed at SSR in July and that was not our experience -- or, at least, not to the extent that it was noticable. I think there was one time that someone getting on a the Studios asked the driver about getting to DTD via SSR and they did ride. There was plenty of room almost all the time and we were there when it was busy.

We didn't find it an issue on our Oct 2005 trip but this was our experience from last week

"I remember this being a big issue a few months ago and wanted to post about our experience last week. DH and I were at MK and were planning on going to DTD for dinner. We decided we would stop by SSR for a swim and then walk over. The bus leaving MK was standing room only and I though I overheard a woman talking about getting to DTD from SSR. When we pulled into SSR she said "Oh I know where we are this is the place you see across from DTD"

At the first stop the bus driver comes on and says "For those of you looking to transfer to DTD from here you can walk or you can get off at the first stop and wait for DTD bus." Well about half the bus got off at the first stop and set out for DTD. DH and I were really suprised. We stayed at SSR last year and never noticed this. I thought it was quite interesting that drivers were now advising this was the best way to get to DTD."
