SSR Add-on

We are getting the addonitis. I haven't had the chance to call our guide and just wanted to get a quick question answered until I can.

We would like to add 25 maybe 50 points at SSR. If we do 50 we may get them in two 25 point contracts. Has anyone added on for SSR yet and what the going rate per pt. for SSR is?

If we do decide to go with 50 is my thinking correct in case we would need to sell off some?

Our UY is Sept. so I don't know even if they will have pts. available for that UY. That will be the next big question.

I think that it is $104 per point. However with only 50 points, I am not sure if you can get an incentive or not. When I added on to AKV this month, the minimum for the incentive was 100 points.

last i remember, you could still get the incentive at SSR with only 50 points, but you probably wouldn't be able to separate them into 2-25 pt contracts. (IMO, there's no need to separate them anyway, since it's still a pretty small contract.)

it's hard to keep up, though...

Just added on at SSR last week...

Price was $104 per point. Incentives available if you buy 100 or more points (no incentives for purchases under that amount).

No closing costs payable by buyer.

Incentives last week were:

EITHER $10 per point off (i.e., $94 per point price...but down payment was based on the full $104 per point...the discount is taken off the balance..,e.g., my 100 point purchase was $10,400...my down payment was $1,040...had I chosen the $10 off incentive, that would have reduced my $9,360 balance by $1,400...)

OR "double developer points"...i.e., if you buy 100 points at $104/point, you get the full 100 points for your use year, which can be banked; and 200 developer points which as of last week had to be used (and couldn't be transferred or banked) within 7 months. (I understand from reading here, that since last week DVC has extended the time to use the developer points to 12 months). Note: the MS reservation system is different for developer points...reservations made w/developer points don't show up in your dvcmember.com account, and they can't give you a reservation number at the time you make the reservation...you have to wait for the confirmation to come in the mail...

Add-on's require using the same use year as your master contract. And SSR is still for sale so there should be no problem w/getting the points you need/want in your use year. (There was no problem w/my use year, Feb)...
