SSR add on & Shutters Beach question

I just contacted my guide and added on 248pts. at SSR (I currently own 150 WLV & 80 VB). I opted to take advantage of the magical beginnings ($10 per pt.) since my vacation plans are already set for 2004.

Also wanted to know if anyone has ever stayed at Shutters on the Beach Santa Monica, California (Concierge Collection)?

what is the magical beginnings, $10/ppt? we just bought into ssr in jan 04 and were thinking we might want to get more points before the increase.

I didn't stay on points, but it is a great place - very elegant (casual) and the location can't be beat. HOWEVER, the beach view rooms as significantly nicer than the city view - although ONLY bc of the view. Have a great time!

although we have not stayed there, i have looked into the resort to stay and it was alot of points to use , but i did hear all great reviews of the resort.

by the time you compare $10 per points at 78 points per night ocean view 62 points per night partial ocean view 53 points per night non ocean view

i think the price last year were around 400-600 non/partial/ocean

Disney gives you a $10.00 pp discount (in my case $2,480 ) ; however, you must give up your first years worth of points that you just purchased. Since I already have my vacations planned out for 2004, it was a no-brainer.
