Does anybody else have a problem with this site taking a long time to load? I love the info here, but it take SO long for every page to come up, it makes it difficult for me to use. I have hi speed internet, and I don't have problems with any other sites. Is there anything I can do to speed things up here? I am not sure where else to post this, so if this is the wrong place, my apologies! TIA

Yeah I do too. I have the highest speed internet (need it for work) and it still takes about 4 to 5 minutes to load this forum. I think it's just too much info for one host to handle.

Yes, very slow, and my network has multiple 10GB pipes.

It does seem to have slowed down alot over the past few months. Today seems especially slow.

Same here! I have a brand new laptop, and the highest of internet services... and this sight is soooo slooooooooow! Sometimes it won't load at all! It just spins, and spin's, and spin's...... and spin's some more!!!
I thought they worked on it a few months back??

Sometimes it's achingly slow... to the point where I think I'm going to gt the dreaded 404 error. Other times it's not bad.

Yes--today the only way I am able to look at threads is to click on them, minimize the page and surf elsewhere...then check back to see if it is loaded yet. I have been doing this for the past month, off and on. In the morning I know I shouldn't come here before work, because I only have about 20 mins before I have to get ready for work--and I don't want to waste the time waiting for threads to load.

We live in the Bay Area, and my husband is a computer guy by profession, and we have the best connection possible.

I have been hoping that the Disboards are working on it, and it will be be fixed soon!

Just for fun I timed how long it took to load this page....5 minutes,15 seconds.Perhaps it is time to upgrade those servers.Good thing they aren't selling something or they would be bankrupt from the loss of customers.

I thought I saw a post not to long ago that they were changing servers and then I noticed it had become dog snot slow. But i am relegated to posting from the iPhone most of the time so I guess slow is the way of the dis now.

It is unbearable and I find I'm not even trying a good bit of the time..just don't have time to wait and wait and still get nothing, or get an error, and I really have to pick and choose on what to click on because it's a crap shoot if it will load at all. I'd be willing to pay if this board could be fixed, it is awful all the time for me.

It is slow for me as well but another issue I have is that I have to click the back button twice in order to get back to the main board. :
