SSE Rehab

I know that there has been discussion of SSE being redone. I've heard everything from it's going to be a rollercoaster (but will need to have a building attached to it), a game arcade, etc. I'm wondering what it is. I wouldn't mind if they redid it to make it more "today" but kept all the same elements (storyline, etc.). I realize that there needs to be some changes, but I don't think that making a rollercoaster or whatnot is something that definately shouldn't be done -- it'll ruin Epcot. Can anyone tell me what is going on with SSE, when project dates are going to be, etc.? I'm really interested..

Not sure what's planned, but let me just say, if they alter SSE into some sort of arcade or roller coaster, that'd be pretty much like turning Cinderella Castle into the temple of doom.

Agreed but you never know. They've torn down my favorite MK ride (Mr. Toads) and Eisner is kind of making me upset now that I have gone to SaveDisney.com. Disney is trying to compete with Six Flags in having the best rollercoasters yet that's not them. I still love Disney though, even when trying to compete their rides are still special. Anyway, if they did cut out SSE to be different from what it is now, it'd be disappointing.

At this point I don't think any plans have been announced. There have been long lines every time I have gone by there the last several weeks.

ITA!!! I'd rather they just left it alone--it's a classic. Of course so was poor old Mr. Toad!!!
