Day 8 Monday 19th December
Today we are going Christmas shopping. We are not coming back to the room until its all done!
Started off with a coffee from the food court! It was full, so pleased we werent stopping for breakfast.
Onto the car park and in the car drove down to LBV outlets as I had to take something back. It was fast and painless, we were on our way to the Prime outlets (Belz) Had a look in Nike factory outlets where DD spotted a watch that she wanted but they only had the one on display; she didnt want that one.
DH got a hooded sweatshirt and I got 3 pair of socks. Yippee!
I did go in for a pair of pants but they never had the ones that I wanted in that one. There were plenty of trainers that I liked though.
Into the annex bit, where we had a walk around, DD bought some more presents for her friends from the character warehouse.
Went back to the car and drove to the Florida Mall where I decided to look for a new wedding and engagement ring. This was to be a joint Christmas and birthday present. I looked around and found a couple of nice ones, but there was something saying am I about to be ripped off you know what I mean. The ones that I tried on fit perfectly and it was though I was meant to try them. But I still wasnt sure.
DD got a new pair of converse that was it there. Back in the car and I worked out how much the ring would cost me in ££s and it was extremely good value for money. I still am not sure though, I know once back in the UK I will kick myself for not getting them. Who knows maybe I will get them.
Next was the Mall at Millenia, we were hungry when we got here so stopped in at the Cheesecake factory.
There was a 15-30 min wait so we were given a pager and sat outside just waiting. Eventually the pager went off and we were seated. Oh the choice. DH and I chose the BBQ pulled Pork sandwich with fries and slaw. DD chose the Orange Chicken with rice and vegetables.
We were stuffed; we could not even manage a desert! Bill was $44.04 without tip.
DD did not like the orange chicken she said it was too orangey! LOL kids, so she had the rest of DHs sandwich and he had the orange chicken. The sandwich was ok, not very tasty without the BBQ sauce.
We had ADR tonight for Whispering Canyon, we had to ring and cancel it there was no way that we would be able to eat anything else.
We thought wed get a piece of cheesecake to go but thought wed get it on the way out rather than having to carry it all over the Mall.
Onto some more shopping, DD spotted a Vans shop, where she was in heaven, all the shoes and socks. She was gutted though as they had buy one pair get the second half price on the shoes that she wanted, but she had just bought the converse! So I bought her some socks! All the way round she was moaning about the shoes, we told her to go back and get them but she wouldnt.
I had a look in Tiffanys where there were some absolutely stunning rings, but just out of my price range a little!
So DH got himself a new wedding ring, its very nice. That was his present sorted then!
Out of Tiffanys very disappointed that I never got anything.
The mall was packed and for once I didnt feel out of place in here. On the way out I still felt full from dinner so we gave the cheesecake a miss, we will be back though for a piece.
We thought we would have a look over at Super Target, so off we went. Missed the turn off and ended up on the I-4 Fear not we navigated our way back to the place we needed to be. Super Target here we come.
DD got DH his Stevie Wonder CD that he wanted as it wasnt released in the UK yet. She also got a present for her sister and something for me.
I got some washing powder as we were running short of things to wear and I was not going to pay $1 for one wash at the laundry when I bought 24 wash one for $3 oh and some shampoo, the big ones that cost a small fortune back home.
Back in the car and back to the resort, where DH went for refill on coffee and I went to pick the package that we bought yesterday from MGM. Back to the room to sort of some washing, then off the laundry room. While the washing was washing I came back to the room to type up todays events before I forgot them. DH and DD watched The Simpsons on TV.
I had to go back and throw some stuff in the dryer. Oh joys of joys!
The weather today was cool and cloudy, the sun did shine for a while but that was when we were in the Mall at Mellenia
According to the car the temperature was 69 today
