Squirts, Shirts, and Flirts, The Legend Continues 2 weeks in FW(wrap up #2 new 11-17)

I love games

I counted 9....8 were misspellings and 1 was the wrong word

Was I close?

I took Trent own food into Boma one year as I knew he would not eat their dinner.

Good for you getting Parker what he wanted. What heck do they care, not like you are not buying anything from them? :goodvibes

I love the pic of Parker hugging your dad....that is so cute :goodvibes
I counted 9 also, but I had it at 7 and 2 instead. Didn't go back and confirm it though.

Great update Dan! Great seeing the baby rhino, and  on the rhino charge! Those ride cars are really cool. Might have to get some of those for myself next trip!

Yak & Yeti update coming on my TR, but I'm guessing the experience is a lot different at dinner.

Nice update Dan! Those cars are great, I never saw those!

I'll put misspellings and a count in red. (I'll ignore punctuation too.) I got 8 definites, and a couple that were iffy that I let slide.

Chapter 36. Attacked by a white rhino.

I was getting pestered to do an update, so here we go.
;)

and also since marv said i need a game on here, i am going for the spelling-do game.

you find a total of my spelling mistakes and post your total. i have purposely spelled some things wrong.:rolleyes1 and picked out some big words to challenge myself and see what we come up with. before i even type any further i am going to guess at least 20 mistakes will be found.

happy hunting.

we left you with dinner looming in the air, and our stomachs were hungry.

so it was on to the yak and yeti, which was a first for us. i have passed it many times, but did not even realize it was a restraunt 1 in the past.

our destination was nice and since the air was just conditioned according to the sign it was a welcome haven from the heat.

we ordered, and we knew that parker loved chicken so candi and i got chicken dishes, well he tried a bite and spit it out and did want anything to do with it.

well we had already waited a good time to get our drinks and food so i knew it would take that much longer go get our waitress and a burger for him, so i remembered seeing a burger shop right next door so out i went.

i came back with a kids burger meal for him.

the manager tried to stop me on the way in and said umm sir, you can not bring other food into our restraunt 2. i said well we have our food, my son is hungry i am not waiting 10 minutes for a burger to be made in the back i got this one next door in under 1 minute.
she shows me her displeasure by her stance and face and i say there he is gotta go. and as i was walking past she said okay fine you can bring it in.
parker was thankful for his burger he kept giving candi hugs during dinner for it.

even though i was the one who got it for him.

all of us loved our meals, including parker and his burger and desert 3 was great as well.
candis desert 4.

my gilato 5 sampler

Lesson Learned: dont think that even though a 2 year old likes chicken, he might not like chicken of the orient.
with bellys 6 full it was time to head out to use our fast passes for the safari.
everything was going great, animals were enjoying the slightly cooler evening and were roaming about in the savanna...eating there 7 dinner. we get around to the white rhino area.

well our driver started to take it slow as this little guy was very close to the edge of the road. and he did not want to spook it.

well all of a sudden we are next to the family and the baby does a quick little run, past the parents, and the guide is watching out the side of the car, to make sure he does not turn toward us when the very large rhino came charging out of a bush at our vehicle...i dont know if our driver stopped on his own, or if there is an override system in the truck that sensed we were very close to an object (which was a giant rhino) but our truck slammed on its breaks 8 to avoid hitting the rhino.

yep that little fellow.
2 bonus points if anyone is the first to correctly guess this movie line.
"sure does get hot in these here rhinooooos"

(By the way, that's from "Ace Venture: When Nature Calls". The scene where he's "born".)

we had no other close encounters of the animal kind on the rest of the ride.

and on our way out we stopped to get a picture at the only location that you can get a picture of both the tree of life and everest in one. that little tid bit (should be one word, but I'll let that slide.) we learned from a photopass guy on our previous trip.

candi found my photopass CD so i have a few to share now. parker enjoyed his day.

and of course he loved holding simba even though he did not know he was the time.

i had one mission before the day was over, and i forgot one of my lessons learned from earlier in the trip...which was when you see something you like buy it, it is not a guarantee that you will come across it again.

i was looking for the hot wheel type cars, that come in 5 packs that are the different ride vehicles for the disney parks. well i was having no luck finding them in the stores, while everyone else was walking the main path i was looking in and out of each store we passed in AK trying to find them. well. my dad finally found them for me in the shop just before pizzafari. and he would not give them to me to buy, he took them up to the counter himself to buy since parker was such a good boy all day in the heat.

my dad kept them without him seeing them and planned to give them to him back at the camper.

waiting for the bus to come, he just plopped down and took a rest.

when we got back after bath time, papa told parker he had something for him

he was so excited and could not wait for us to tear open the package and play with them.

my dad did end up stepping on the train car from the wildest ride in the wilderness...and one of the support pieces cracked in half, but i was able to super glue it when we got home.

we let him play with them for a little before bed, which he loved, and he ended up falling asleep before we even got our things ready to take our showers.

candi had another encounter with her little frog friend inthe (space between "in" and "the", but I'll let it slide.) shower again, this time it was one that was the size of a quarter that was jumping at her when she was trying to leave the building after she was done.

i want to say we were night owls and took in the disney after dark crowd or even went to the pool, but i guess we were not that cool this night and we were zonked out at about 9:00 i think the heat and the length of the trip so far was catching up to us.

but it is nothing a water park day coming up next could not fix.

I understand zonking out early! It's so hard to stay up much later than that after you've been going so fast and furious all day in that heat.

Great update, Dan. I love the pic of Parker hugging Candi for his burger. ;)

That is too :scared1: about the rhino...glad nothing bad came of the situation.

Nice update! The Rhino charge would be :scared1:
I counted 7 misspellings if you don't count capitalizing first names :confused3 IF that counts, I'll have to count. again.

i have to lead with, a disclosure, i have no idea wha the correct total is, remember i can not spell and alot of words i type i think they are correct...so your number may or may not be correct...but i will go back and check to see how many i come up with and if anyone wants to dispute what i find then they may. this is not a dictatorship like marv and glenns games where there vote is the only vote.
:thumbsup2

I have 7 spelling errors counted.

I *need* those cars for my 2 year old, Paul! OMG he will *LOVE* the train. We've been looking for something to put in the super secret Disney trip goodie bag stash and those are perfect.

Now I just have to find them outside the park! LOL.

I have a meeting about the possible government shut down too. And, four of Missouri's state senators are trying to cut a deal where they let us have 100 million in unemployment from the feds if we cut out 300 million in projects like weatherizing low income homes. It kills me that we talk so much about Christian values but attack any program for the poor while giving billions away in tax breaks to oil companies and millionaires.

:headache:
u may be right on the guesses:confused3

those cars are awesome he loves playing them to this day. i did not see them in that many shops down there. hope you are able to score some.

when is your next trip planned for those goodie bags?

hope you get to keep working if we get shut down.

I love games

I counted 9....8 were misspellings and 1 was the wrong word

Was I close?

I took Trent own food into Boma one year as I knew he would not eat their dinner.

I love the pic of Parker hugging your dad....that is so cute :goodvibes
that is a good idea to take your own food, he is doing better on eating stuff now, and next trip he will be old enough for his own dinning plan, so he wont have to share anymore.

going to check on how close you are on your guesses.

it is a cute pic of them hugging.

I counted 8....I didn't count punctuation.
we are not getting started on punctuation as i dont think i capitalize many words at the begining of sentences.

Good for you for getting poor Parker fed and boo to the cranky CM. I love those car sets, I'd like some for me even though the E's (sniff) are too old for such things. I'll have to remember the PP tip, cool shot and nice rhino encounter.

I confess, I'm abstaining from all games these days. I can barely keep up on threads, more or less count, I don't have enough brain power left for that.

:rotfl:

they are cool collector items if you dont have anyone to play with them, and even would look neat on a shelf of something.

heck you could have said 15 and i would have counted it, i dont even know the total of misspelled words.
(yet that is);)

I count 8, Dan. Do you want them listed??
i would say yes, but looks like glenn already did that, and he has a handy dandy little counter listing them...but i will try and do an official one shortly.

I decided not to count the spelling errors. But I do like those cars Parker got. I kinda want them for myself. Looks like another great day!
thanks, it is alot of work to find my mistakes when there are so many.

I counted 8 maybe 9. I want to try Yak and Yeti one day. Those Rhinos can be aggressive. You are not the first to have a rhino attack. I have heard of a couple lately.
i wonder if they are getting really protective of there young now.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Lots of people transpost letters while typing, that's what you do most. Here's one of my favorites that you do alot:
teh for the.

But a game for mis-spellings? :rotfl::rotfl:
i actually fixed a lot of teh spellings when i typed that, i should have left them all.

I do that ALL the time- had to slow down there to make sure it came out right. :rotfl2:

I try to go back and fix them all but I really need to figure out why I do it and change the way I type.
me too, most of the time i see them, but just keep typing anyway.

oh gracious...if we're counting punctuation.....well, that's a whole different story!!

:lmao:
nope not punctuation that would be to high.

I counted 9 also, but I had it at 7 and 2 instead. Didn't go back and confirm it though.

Great update Dan! Great seeing the baby rhino, and  on the rhino charge! Those ride cars are really cool. Might have to get some of those for myself next trip!

Yak & Yeti update coming on my TR, but I'm guessing the experience is a lot different at dinner.
huh, the guy who always points out my mis spellings, does not have a concret answer.
:rolleyes1

i can see you playing with those cars on your living room floor telling ali that you will come to dinner in 5 minutes when you are done.

Nice update Dan! Those cars are great, I never saw those!

I'll put misspellings and a count in red. (I'll ignore punctuation too.) I got 8 definites, and a couple that were iffy that I let slide.

I understand zonking out early! It's so hard to stay up much later than that after you've been going so fast and furious all day in that heat.

kudos glenn on going the extra mile...i give you all points (for now) on this round

we were all beat after that day, i think it was the longest we have ever stayed in AK, and they even had EMH that night we skipped there.

Great update, Dan. I love the pic of Parker hugging Candi for his burger. ;)

That is too :scared1: about the rhino...glad nothing bad came of the situation.
it was a very sweet hug.

im not realy sure if something bad could happen, i think they have so many sensors on those things that there really is no way to hit an animal unless it actually runs into the side and hits the truck.

Nice update! The Rhino charge would be :scared1:
I counted 7 misspellings if you don't count capitalizing first names :confused3 IF that counts, I'll have to count. again.

nope no caps or puncutuation i cant even count that high:laughing:

well since glenn posted an advanced detail of all the mistakes, i guess if you guys want i can post the results of what the findings where for the game?

if i get a first and second motion to carry i will post the results.
:teacher:

Second!

(And don't forget about my bonus points for guessing the movie from your rhino reference. Assuming my answer was correct.)

The handy dandy guide to dans spelling mistakes brought to you by glennbo.

i was lazy so this is what i did, i copied what glenn did and put it into word....ran a spell check and this is what it came up with. it also included the gotta which i highlighted below and reason why i am not counting it.

and it said photopass was wrong but we know how that is spelled so i ignored that one as well.

it had all the same mistakes that glenn found, but where he was forgiving, in a few at the end, it said no dice dummy they are spelled wrong.
so we shall make the offical count as 9 mis spelled words...and i could not count all the grammer errors it came up with.

i dont know how many times i never Cap "I" when i type.

so the total is 9, the 8 glenn pointed out, i am counting inthe wrong since there should be a space but counting tid bit as correct as spelled seperate the words are correct.

and so everyone gets some points each correct answer is worth 1 point.

your guesses are right after your name, and your points total will be in red after that.

Elianor 7 --- 7 points
Trentmom 9--- 9 points with a bonus for the correct answer so 10
mom3sonstt ---8 8 points
MAGICFOR2 ---7 7 points
marvali ---9 9 points with a bonus for the correct answer so 10
Poolrat---8 maybe 9 8.5 points for your uncertainty
All7OfUs ---8 8 points
glennbo123---8 with 2 iffies 8 points (but since you got the correct and only answer for the rhino quote, you get the full 2 points i was awarding for that. so 10) you should have not been so generous in your iffies. you could have had a clear lead. but since you were the only one to make a guess on the movie line.

i will award you one extra point this round for a total of 11 points.

Glenn has won the inagural spelling-do game.
:banana::cool1::yay::dance3::cheer2:

:yay:

Whew, I'm glad you threw in that movie question!

Dziekuje.gif

It's great to finally get points for spotting your spelling errors. We've all been doing it for free for so long now. ;)

I hate being behind Glenn- let's get another update up soon, Dan, so I can take my commanding lead. :lmao:

hey now mister, there are still more rounds of the game coming up, and i can and will take away points at any time, so just remember i am always watching, and i can even take points away and award points for teasing/or complimenting me on other threads.
:magnify:

I hate being behind Glenn- let's get another update up soon, Dan, so I can take my commanding lead. :lmao:
dont worry, he may lose points at any given time.
:thumbsup2

Up to Chapter 10. Read three chapters today through lunch. This is hilarious stuff! Chapter 10 especially had me laughing out loud.

A few things I wanted to comment on:

so we ate at a place we have never eaten at the electric umbrella, normally we try and eat lunch CS at one of the countries, but since we still had stuff to do up in future world we opted for eating here.
We LOVE Electric Umbrella. In an age when everything is fresh and healthy, it's nice to find a greasy cheeseburger still exists in a Disney park. Oh and did I mention "Free Refills?" In the words of my good friend Dr. Doofenshmirtz, "love it!"

lesson learned: i know understand that sometimes norway does need the fast pass machine, and it is not a stupid attraction to have it at.
Maelstrom is a fastpass? We should spread the word.;)

so on the way we end up seeing belle and stop for a picture, well when it is parkers turn he grabs his autograph book from candi and goes to about 3 feet from belle and slides/throws it on the ground to her, then grabs the pen and throws it over at her feet as well. we all start laughing and she assures him she does not have anything wrong with her.
This is hysterical! I think I would fall out laughing if one of the little ZZUBs did this. Your son sounds very cool.

lesson learned: u are never fully alone while walking out at disney. a bus full of people from MK can come around the corner at any moment catching you in there headlights in your skivvies.
It's stuff like this that makes my adventure in the Canadian Outpost restroom seem completely benign.

Really enjoying your TR! Thank you for the links on the first page. Makes reading along so much easier.

:moped:

Great job on the contest Dan, my bestest buddy!!! :thumbsup2 Not just anyone can come up with a contest where the people who get the answer right don't win!!! :teacher: I think I'll institute that philosophy into my contests in the future...... :yay:

Nice update Dan! Those cars are great, I never saw those!

I understand zonking out early! It's so hard to stay up much later than that after you've been going so fast and furious all day in that heat.

I had the same words you did....except 1. I missed the "there"....but right before it I was thinking that savanna was spelled wrong. I think I'm used to the girls name, savannah, so it didn't look right to me.

As far as punctuation, I was think more of "candi's" instead of "candis"

Darn I am too late !!I did mis one and came up with 7 missed BREAKS!!!! But the whole time I'm thinking Dan is spelling preety good this update !!!:rotfl2:Freaky aboutthe Rhino charge !!!:scared1::scared1:
