I've bought the Square Trade with accidental damage for both my kids' itouch devices and my iPad. Used it earlier this year for my daughter and they had it back in less than ten days. I'm getting ready to send off my son's due to battery not holding a charge. They sent me an email after filing an online claim that gave hints for extending battery life. Since we'd previously tried their suggestions I then called so they'd send me a UPS label. The rep stated that I could take it to an Apple store and they'd give me a new device at a cost of $199 which Square Trade would them reimburse me. I opted not to go that route because we still have about eight months left on his warranty and it would only continue if we keep the same device. If we swapped out I'd have to purchase a new warranty. Also, he said I'd be getting the same model itouch so it wasn't like we'd be upgrading by getting one from the Apple store. HTH
