I currently have Sprint and have been with them for 16 years, but we have limited service at our house and they recently messed up my billing ran me through the entire customer service department trying to get a solution. So I am looking for options. We have a good deal with unlimited data and 4 phones, but rarely use more than 2 gigs each and are considering T-Mobile. Any opinions? Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

We've had t mobile for a number of years and have been happy with their service. The price is hard to beat-we pay less than $80 per month for two phones. We paid for our iphones outright, which keeps the bill lower.

I (we) have had TMO for over a decade, good customer service, reasonable price, coverage much better than friends that have Sprint, but -- still -- not that great in our rural area.

I am switching to Verizon on Friday....just because family is getting older and more out into the "boonies" in terms of kids camping, hiking etc. And they are all insisting on smart phones. :confused3

Having said that, if Sprint works pretty much O.K. for you in terms of coverage, TMO should work somewhat better.

You can check coverage maps online. IN terms of customer service, as I said, TMO -- even in the past couple of weeks -- has always been a 7 out of 10 for me. As a WAG, I don't think it would hurt to try TMO

Check with friends who have either to check on coverage.

That would be my first priority. We had Sprint at work and their coverage is awful........but they fully disclose that in their coverage map. They don't claim to have coverage they don't.

A couple of co-workers turned in their company phones and use their person T-Mobile phones, we never can get ahold of them......okay, never may be overstating it, but when they are in the back parking lot, and the system says they are out of the coverage area, something is messed up. Won't be an issue after January 1st, that has been such a problem the company is banning the use of non-company phones for business.

I have had Sprint since 2002-03 or whenever they bought the company I was with. It is a love/ hate relationship... mostly hate relationship. I keep them because I have unlimited everything for just a little over $100 and can't find someone to beat it. I keep getting mailings they are doing improvements in my city but it is actually getting worse. I used to be able to sit on the bed and make a call. Now its roaming. Even in bigger cities where they have gone 4G it is terrible. Everyone I know that has them hates it. I have an S3 so I know it is not a phone issue.

I've been looking at tmobile and recently saw they have an $80 plan for 2 lines and $90 for 3 lines. Once my kids need phones this is probably what I'll do and buy used Iphones on swappa. I'm on Straight Talk now which I like, but they don't have any savings when you add extra lines.

we switched from AT+T to Tmobile at the end of September and are very happy with them.
One big reason we switched is that I live in brick townhouse and have terrible service at home. TMob has wifi calling so we now have no problems with that issue.
I pay $135/month for service for 3 smartphones (includes the cost of the phones). Unlimited talk, text, data for each phone. over 1gig the speed is throttled. Tmob has free music streaming that does not use your data; great for the kids

I have been a Sprint customer for well over 12 years. I was always happy with their service and coverage area. I have one iphone on the plan and pay around $85 per month. My husband's phone is through his work.

About a year ago, I wanted to add a second line and iphone for my son when he turned 12. They weren't willing to give me any type of deal. The best they could do is $150 per month for two phones. We wound up buying a phone at Best Buy for my son and using Virgin Mobile for $35 per month for unlimited talk and text. It seems everyone has a great deal and a family plan with more phones yet they want me to pay $150 for 2?

I keep getting all the emails, fed-ex envelopes about getting the new iphone 6 for $5 per month as a lease. We go to the Sprint store and inquire about getting the iphone 6 for myself and then adding my son with my old iphone, again no deals to be had. I leave the store and call the 800 number and get the same story.

They have tons of commercials about getting new customers but aren't willing to work with existing customers. My plan is up on May. Going to leave Sprint and move to a company where I can pay less.

We have T Mobile & for the most part are very happy with it. We have 5 lines with them. I dont remember who all we have used, but it seems we have run the gammit trying to lower our bill. T Mobile wins hands down.

I will say that I think every company is different & while they all may work in certain areas and not others, you just have to find one that works for the main places you need it too. Good customer service is a plus too.

Good luck finding something that works for you.

I'm a prepaid guy, because that's the BUDGET way to go.

That said, check with friends and neighbors where you live to see what T-Mobile is giving them in terms of a good signal, etc., as you can't rely on what a person from Hackensack, NJ says (unless you also live in Hackensack, NJ).

I also have and like TMobile. I find my connection to be fine speed wise & connectivity. DH phone is older & he says that at work his phone is slower than other peoples on Verizon or Sprint, however, they all also have newer phones & are more tech saucy, so that may be more the difference. DS is happy with his phone as well. Good luck, OP!

Switched to T-Mobile 4 years ago and we love them! I have 3 phones and a tablet all unlimited. I pay around $160 a month but some of it is a payment plan for my IPhone and tablet I think $50

We ditched T-Mobile a couple years ago because we hated their coverage, and we live in a good size metro area. Went with Sprint and were MUCH happier...

We have unlimited text and data now, 4 smart phones just $200/month. I may never ditch the plan; too hard to find unlimited data anymore.

The kids have Verizon through Tracfone , Mom has Sprint through Paylo Virgin Mobile 20 dollars unlimited minutes and 50 text messages and I am on ATT Go phone 45 dollar plan with unlimited minutes and text with 1gb high speed data which throttle after go over the gig.

I have say all us get good service.
