All Aboard, I believe you. But I think there might be another explanation for the difference.
First, just to be sure, the Dino Gertie's you are referring to is the stand next to the lake near the entrance to the Indy Stunt Show, correct?
If so, that's a one person operation, if I remember correctly. One CM who rings the order and fills it. Auntie Gravity's has the typical counter service setup, where they take the order at the register and its filled by other CMs behind the window.
Since orders are being taken and filled simulatneously at AG's, that would probably account for the difference in line speed.
Also, for what its worth, I don't remember ever being asked if I wanted sprinkles on my soft serve at Auntie Gravity's, so I don't think that would have slowed the process down much, since they were apparently only upon request.
Another important point is that Auntie Gravity's also sells sundaes (as well as floats), and more people are going to ask for sprinkles on sundaes than on plain ice cream. If dealing with sprinkles is too time consuming (and again, its not), then certainly dealing with whipped cream is.
I think we'd all agree that whipped cream is a product whose benefits are well worth the time and cleanup needed.
