Same here - sitting on a 6:32 buffer which is still iffy as to whether I'll get into the race. Contemplating signing up for the 5K before I fly to Boston on Friday.

I think you've got a really decent shot! Current prediction is 5:47 and most of the heavy hitters are over for the season. I unfortunately had a bad race and didn't qualify, so now to convince DH that I need to do springtime to make me feel better about myself

Oh no I'm sorry! You should definitely sign up for Springtime Suprise - I'm having FOMO about it and don't even know the themes yet!

Does anyone know what the challenge cost this past year? RunDisney took down the information on their website and I'm trying to figure out how many gift cards I still need to stockpile before registration.

Took a quick trip with DD#1 this past weekend…stayed at Poly and got upgraded to Club Level!!!

Had great luck getting stopped on HM right by my favorite Hidden Mickey and took a great pic! DD#1 “discovered” this Hidden Mickey years ago and made us get right back in line to ride again so she could show us but I’ve never gotten a good pic until this trip!

I'm going with Mando/SW because the Mandolorian movie comes out toward the end of May, because it's the 5th year (right??) and because it's what the people want.

I'm hoping this is true. It would be so easy to do a prequels 5K, OG 10K, sequels 10 mile, and Mando Challenge, since we know rD loves to do eras themes.

For the third (or fourth?) time, my proposal: Spaceship Earth 5k, Guardians 10k, Galaxy’s Edge 10 Miler. Ideally it would be the Space Mountain 5k but you have to hold it at Magic Kingdom and well… you know.

Not changing mine btw!

I hope it's Star Wars for all of you hoping for Star Wars and because I need to not want to do Springtime. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Star Wars, but it's not a must do theme for me. And I absolutely cannot ask DH if I can do another weekend after MW and PW.

I finally resigned myself to the fact that Princess weekend is just a tad too close to baby's due date, but am having such FOMO watching that thread with registration today!! Joining in here instead with a tentative plan to try to make Springtime Surprise 2026 my first run Disney event I am also not a huge Star Wars fan, but if it is a Star Wars theme, I bet I could convince my sister to tag along, so I'll be happy either way!

Going to go against the grain here, but since it's America's 250th birthday next year, I think it would be awesome do have a patriotic themed Springtime Surprise. A Sam Eagle Muppets run or challenge as part of it! It would be nice as a "Glorious 3 Hour Finale" run to the now cancelled MuppetVision 3D show and might lineup with the opening of the new Muppet Coaster overlay in Hollywood Studios.

While an all Muppets salute to 250th USA Birthday would be epic, even a mix of Sam Eagle with Patriotic Mickey & Minnie, Figment, Huey & Dewey & Louie, Chip & Dale or even Patriotic Stitch would all be fun! Heck, even the Country Bears would be pretty darn sweet!

I like this idea too!!

But I was really hoping for the 5th year of Springtime to be a tribute to the 5th year of the WDW Star Wars races that we didn’t get.

Whatever we get, I hope it’s good!

I think the possibility of a Stars Wars theme is high, but I wonder if they will just choose it as one of the races or the challenge, versus the whole weekend. It would be cool to a space and/or sci-fi theme and nod to each park so maybe Avatar/Pandora 5k, Space Mountain or Tron 10k, Gaurdians of the galaxy 10 miler, Star Wars Challenge. 2026 is the 55th anniversary of the parks, so maybe they'll want to focus on the attractions/parks as well as pay tribute to the star wars races. And as we saw with the virtual series, the attractions themes are very popular.
