Hello everyone, I've lurked around pretty obsessively for the past few days so I thought I'd finally join and say hello, although it's completely against my better judgement because I should be studying instead of feeding my Disney obsession!
I have been to WDW numerous times while visiting friends in FL and on school trips but am finally getting to the point where I will soon be able to afford going on my own, trying restaurants, staying onsite, etc., although my bank account with all of my professional degree loans say otherwise, LOL.
It's springtime here in central IL, and for some reason I always get an insatiable urge to get my next Disney fix when the weather starts to warm up. Does anyone suffer from my same affliction? You'd think it would be stronger during the winter months with all the snow and cold, and as much as I do wish I were somewhere tropical and warm instead at those times, I'm not drawn to it as much as I am right now!
I think my next trip will be in August because I will be in Orlando attending a conference, I'm kind of bummed because I went last August and it was almost unbearably hot and crowded and I promised myself I'd never go during the summer gain. I guess the pain wasn't enough to keep me from coming back a second time

so I probably wasn't in the best shape to be standing in 90 degree weather with humidity pushing temps over 100, but it really did put a negative spin on things. Fantasmic! is my favorite show and I got in line at 6 pm for the first showing to get good seats (I was right at the rope with about 40 other people
) for a 9:05 showing, when we left the line for the 10:30 show was so incredibly long that I don't think they let everyone in.

and he needs a yearly fix just like me) But this year we will not be going
We will be heading to Montana to Glacier National Park with my parents and brother for a week. Montana is my parents' Disney and they are so excited to show us the things they love. We are very excited to go but the Disney withdrawal is killing us! We would be trying to make both trips but my DH had back surgery this year and was out of work for a while so he has no time for two trips this year. This is the time of year when our planning is in full swing! Shopping and packing would be underway and I would be making and re-making my spreadsheets. It is so strange to not be planning at all!!! I keep trying to talk my husband into beginning to plan for 2012 but he says it's too early
NO WAY! I also want to try my hand at a TR so maybe a year long PreTR is in order. Don't know if anyone would read it but I may just try

I like my schedules and I don't like deviating from them, so I think I just won't let myself make one except for deciding which parks we're going to on which day and where we're going to eat.
I've never been in May but I would LOVE to go for the Flower and Garden Festival... someday!!
Do you know how the June crowds are?
