I'm ready for the season to start, now that the Twins finally got their heads on straight and gave Santana the contract he deserves! I mean, sheesh, the guy only won the Cy Young, what more did they want out of him?? But yea, 4 years for $40 million - he's earned it (as much as anyone can "earn" that much money...)

He's worth even more than that. This kid's the real deal. I'm very glad for Twins fans that they signed Santana to a 4 yr. contract. And not so glad that my Yanks will have to face him It really is a delight to watch him pitch, though.

I'm so excited for the season to start. I'm a Yankee fan and I think they'll have a great season. Giambi is going to have a rough season with the distraction that he brought on to himself. I'm glad Tino is back on the team. He's older, but he brings so much class and hopefully, stability, to the clubhouse. I think A-Rod will have a great season. I can only imagine how good Sheffield will be with two good shoulders. I like the new starting rotation. In short, I think they'll be fun to watch.

Someone said that all teams start the season tied for first. But somehow, I just have a feeling the Mets are already 0-20.

Should be an exciting season... Play Ball!!!

Hey, the Red Sox won the World Series after being down 0-3 to the Yankees, so yes, anything can happen!

I may be the only Chicago fan who is sorry to see Sammy leave. Even after his snit on the last game of the season. And then my favorite pitcher ... Mr. Stud Muffin Himself ... Kyle Farnsworth was traded to Detroit. **sigh** I'm just not sure how to get excited about this season. Oh yeah, we have Jeromy Burnitz. Can I hear a big whoo hoo?

Oh well. My season is paid for: the Cubs made sure of that before they traded Sosa and Farnsworth. I'll be at lots of games this season, but I'm feeling like it's 1994 all over again.

Maybe this thread will make me feel better.
