Spring training games

Have you been to any yet? I went to my first for the season today. It was the Devil Rays vs the Philadelphia Phillies. The Phillies are in a new stadium here (in Clearwater) and it is very nice. It was quite warm today and I got fried, look like a lobster. I had fun though.

The Rays won! My team is the Seattle Mariners but I will route for the Rays since they are the "local" team.

I'm very jealous (That's green with envy, by the way!) I'd love to get to a spring training game but my kids schedules just never seem to coincide with ST.

Christine, did Tino Martinez play first base in the game you saw today?? I loved Tino when he was with the Yankees. I wish him all the best now that he's "back home" with the Devil Rays. They've actually improved themselves quite a bit this year and if you're a Mariners fan you've got to be pleased to have Lou Piniella at the helm. (Another of my old Yankee favorites )

Can't wait for the MLB season to start.

Figment - YES!! Tino played yesterday and I was so happy to see him, he also played for the M's before going to the Yanks. Oh and you gotta love Sweet Lou, I was very happy when I heard he was coming home. Tino hada couple real good defensive plays yesterday too, I think he will be a good edition and maybe, just maybe the Rays could come closer to .500???

Cant wait for the season to begin!!!!

Next week, I'm going to see the Yankees whoop up on some team. I think it's the Boston Red Sox, doesn't matter, they're going to lose anyway.

Legends Field in Tampa is awesome. Right across the street from Raymond James Stadium.

Hey Duke, I have heard Legends is nice.....need to get there sometime. I am not much of a Yanks fan (I know, shame on me) But I love A-rod so I cant wait to see him. Do you go to any D'Rays games?
