Has anyone been to any of the games (Atlanta Braves) at the Wide World of Sports? We have tickets to see the Braves play the Cardinals (Go Cardinals!) in two weeks. We have lawn seats and were wondering if we can bring in lawn chairs, drinks, snacks, etc? Also wondering how early we should plan to arrive? We've heard the players give autographs and get pictures taken with fans prior to the games, but not sure how early we should get there.

Thanks for any input!

It's "no" on lawn chairs and outside food and drinks.

The lawn section runs roughly from the end of third base dugout and around the outfield fence. I'm not sure where the concessions are for that area but there are a bunch of stands that are behind the seating areas.

The turnstiles open 3 hours before game time but we've never been there more than an hour before the game starts. If your goal is to get a lot of autographs then probably the earlier the better. As a note, while the Braves players will all most likely be there unless the team has a split-squad away game on the same day, be aware that the travel teams generally don't make all of their players travel to away games - so if you're hoping to see all of the major stars from the visiting team they probably won't all be there.

Champion Stadium is a nice venue. Enjoy your Spring Training experience.

I am not trying to take over your thread, I came to post a question about spring training games. Can you buy tickets at the gate at game time? We kind of want to leave it to see what the weather is like for two Jay's games going on when we are there. Also, does anyone know what kind of seats and how much they would be if we did that? We usually buy from stubhub or something simular but decided to wait to see if the weather was good and if we felt up to going or not!

So are lawn seats bleachers or do we need to bring in a blanket??

No, there aren't bleacher seats in that section like they have over on the Right Field side of the park. It really is a grassy section so a blanket would make sense.

They sell tickets through TicketMaster so I'd suggest that you go to their website as a research tool and check on seat availability and pricing for the dates that Toronto is in - the 11th and 17th(?).

But, yes, the Braves have on-site ticket sales (on the left as you walk toward the stadium near the team souvenir shop). The park has always been pretty full when we've gone so I'm not sure how many tickets are available on game day but I suspect that they won't be "choice" seats.

We've been to 8 or 10 games and had one game that was weather-challenged - it rained really hard late in the game and as we made our way back to the car. My band of fans and I had a really good time anyway but I now always take an umbrella with us.

It's a fun experience at Champion Stadium but I wouldn't pay StubHub prices for a Spring Training game unless the price was really cheap.
