Spring Swap - I'm Finished

Don't hate me, but I'm finished with my tags for the Spring Swap. I'm glad to have that done so I can get on with sorting photos and such for pages, which I haven't touched since January.

Pleeeze! How did you do that so fast!!! I'm still thinking about what I'll do, much less have the supplies on hand to start.

I had a lot of energy to burn this past week and needed to do something constructive to put it out of my mind, so I sat upstairs and just got going. My goal was to use supplies that I already had onhand - since I've spent so much lately at a store that's going out of business. I think I put my anger to good use, except when DH kept calling me to give updates on the situation. In-laws, can't live with them ~ can't shoot them. Might as well scrapbook.

I am done too!!!! I went to JoAnn etc today for the great sale they were having. Got some spring colored paper and vellum came home and worked on the borders all day long. I find it easier to do 22 borders than find 22 different borders for my own book..... Once you have the pattern set you just go with the flow.

Special note, I used some buttons on my borders that are from my Great Aunts sewing box. She passed away over 10 years ago, so each of you girls is getting a little piece of my family history with your border. Hope everyone likes them.

Well anyway now to sit and wait for the end of the month and delivery of all of the goodies we will get.

I am almost finished with the items for both swaps---just a little more on one set of frames! I am using my embosing stuff for the first time (bought it over a year ago)

Sounds wonderful. I love embossed things. I have never done it personally so yours will be my first in my books. Cool!!!

I am probably about 1/3 of the way finished my shaker boxes. I finished a prototype and started an assembly line situation. It is funny though, As you are making them you figure a better way of assembling them with each one you complete. By #12 I should have it down pretty good. lol

I finished! Now I will try to get away from school early enough tomorrow or Tuesday to get them mailed!

Over the weekend I finished my squares for the spring swap!! Will be mailing them out tomorrow.

I am in the middle of making mine. I have all the stuff and I am trying something new with my squares so bear with me! I am trying those seryindippy squares! So far it has been fun but not sure......about the end results!
