Just wondering if anyone's had any luck in locating one of these yet? As many of us have found out they are still sending out autumn/winter ones from the official website despite advertising the new ones!! I went into 2 travel agents today who both said they aren't available yet (as did Rhiannon in a different part of town) though I felt sure someone on here said they'd seen one??? I will have to regard it as an exercise in patience!!! (I'm not very good at that, I'm afraid!!!!)

Just to answer my own question (!!!) I just rang the UK number for DLP who said the brochures came out last week but are in very short supply as there was a misprint and they're having to do them all again and it will be (wait for this>>>>>>>>) 8 - 10 weeks until they're available!!! Oh joy!!! :guilty:

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :earseek:

Received the "Summer" Brochure in teh post this morning. Most definitely the new one....

Points of interest at the moment:
It's called "The official brochure 2006", rather than "Summer"
It talks about Wishes in the "Summer Magic" section - however it's a tad vague.
Actually it's all a tad vague - no season planner, nothing really telling you the dates that a particular 'season' will commence other than the Month.

Some of the pricing only has 3 price brackets (rather than 4)
Two of the price brackets are show in what looks like virtually the same colour - but are really different.

I'm finding it all very confusing!. I don't like it.....

That's great Iain - well, at least the fact that "8 - 10 weeks" turned out to be 11 days!!! Shame it's so vague though after all the waiting!! The colours on the grids could lead to some horrendous errors - and nasty surprises when the bill arrives!!

Of course, it could be that Iain has a copy of the misprinted version. That would explain why he's got price grids with two virtually identical colours and other things not quite right.

However, I was in my local independent travel agent this lunchtime and they said they've got their file copy of the brochure (and let me look through it quickly) but have no idea on when they'll have copies they can give out.

My "boo, hiss" moment - there's no early booking bonus like there was last year (free hotel upgrade), unless you're booking for September or October 2006. As it also turns out we're not going on a 5 for 4 week either, looks like we'll be paying the full price. But then, at least we'll probably have the park to ourselves!

Well....interestingly within the Pricing Guide there is a page that "isn't part of the brochure" it feels like it was added later.

If you think of a newspaper, each page is linked to another further into the paper, until you get to the centre pages which are obviously together.

The pricing brochure is the same - it just has this extra page right at the start.

Anyhow...I've found a season guide - which looks a little sick for 2006... It only lists (for 2006 until November).

Kids Carnival - 4th Feb - 12 Mar
Summer Magic - May to September
Halloween - 7th Oct - 5th Nov

No mention of Magic Unlimited, which I'm sure I've seen is occuring, no mention of Easter Season.

I really get the impression that this brochure has gone to print with DLRP in a situation where it didn't really know what it was going to do in 2006. It's just SOOOO vague.

For example - the brochures normally cover the seasons - but there isn't really much to go on in this one.

Considering the restructuring package this is not good. Marketing has got to improve.

Good point - I hadn't thought of that!!

We were hoping for a free upgrade too Steve as they had them last summer. Shame!!!

The spring/summer brochure is out in Germany. And a few things are simular to the English version.

But first of all, the german edition has a new look, compared to the last years, which is the best I´ve ever seen. They put in much more information about the Parks and the Village, and the Photos and the layout are much better than the last seasons.

Wishes and Fantillusion are confirmed in the brochure but as wager from the timeframe as in your versions. The Pricezones are also down from 4 to 3. And the low and the high seasons do have really similar colours.

They still have 4 for 3 and 5 for 4 offers but only in the Disneyhotels. They don´t offer it for the Partnerhotels anymore like they did in the past. An earlybooking - bonus is´nt there either, but that doesn´t matter because we never had on in good old germany.

For me the worst thing is that the prices for just one adult with a Kid (me and Lukas) nearly doubled compared to the last year.

But I´m trying not to be angry because it is Disney. :earboy2:
OK I try. :earsboy:
I try. pirate:
Sh... I am angry about that.

Stefan :rolleyes1

Hi,

I'm, from Germany too, and I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the new brochure. Finally they changed the layout! And finally you can get a little bit of magical feeling from the brochure!

And as you said there never was an upgrade opinion in the brochure here in Germany so you people from the UK should be happy about what you had!

And finally they paid more attention to the adults. The tried to find some good arguments for adults to come to DLRP! (have nice candle light dinner, go to Paris or to La Vallee!)

And yes I do love the new pictures! After 100 years they changed the pictures. When I saw the new pics I thought “I want to visit these new hotels!”
But then I realise they only used new pics with another point of view! I especially like the one of the NPBC with Mickey in front of the hotel!

But Stefan you are wrong with one thing: There have always been 4 pricezones in the winter brochures and only 3 in the summer brochures! That isn’t new!!!

And thank God they changed the 3=2 offer for the SF and the DLH. In the last two brochures you could only book 4=3 for the SF and the DLH!!! (3=2 was only available for the other 4 Disney Hotels!)

And Stefan you said the prices for just one adult with a kid nearly doubled?? I didn’t compare the prices jet with the ones from the summer 2004 brochure. But I didn’t get the feeling that the prices did increase that much for one or two adults without kids?! But I will check this later today!

No they didn´t charge much more for 2 Adults or more in one room, there it is about 5 € more per Day. But for 1 Adults it is much much more depending on the Hotel.

And just to say it one more time: The new Layout is greeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaat ! Yipeeh.
