I need your HELP!! I'm planning a trip for my husband and I for 2017 and I'm torn as to when to go.

I would love to go in early to mid March for my birthday (the 12th) and Flower and Garden, but DH wants to go in late October to early November. He's not a huge Disney fan but knows that I love it and is making the "sacrifice".

If we did October I would schedule it so I can do both the Halloween Party and the Christmas Party, as well as Food & Wine, like I did back in 2014. Obviously if it's March that would only give me the Flower & Garden event.

If you had the option to do either of these times, which would you do? Is the weather nice in March? Are the crowds better one time over the other?

When I'm typing out this question I am almost thinking the pros for October make more sense, but I just like the thought of spending by 40th at Disneyworld.

Thoughts?

The temps will be better in March with MUCH less humidity than Oct, and slightly better than Nov.

Easter is not until mid April next year, so crowds may also be slightly better in the beginning of March. The later in March you go, the more spring breaks you have a chance of hitting.

Food offerings seem better with Food & Wine, but F&G has all the other things that go with it...shows, topiaries, etc.

I think I would check prices to see which would be cheaper as well. This site does a good break down: http://**************.net/2014/09/24/disney-world-2016-price-seasons/
Of course there is always the possibility, however small, that you could hit free dining weeks in Nov.

So, I don't really have a recommendation for you, but hopefully more information to help guide your own decision making. For me, the weather/crowds are close enough that it would probably come down to price.

If he's sacrificing for you, I would be inclined to go when he wants to go. If you want to get in both MNSSHP & MVMCP you will need to be there from very late Oct to early Nov. If you are going more than a week that shouldn't be a problem, but less than that would be hard to get in both depending on the schedule that year for the parties.

As far as which is best excluding your DH's preference, to me it's a tossup. Flower & Garden is more relaxed, less crowded, and beautiful. Food & Wine has quite a few more offerings and music/events during the week instead of only the weekend and then as you mentioned there are the parties. It really depends on whether you want to relax more or have more to do.
