I am sure this has been asked before well maybe but here goes again...

Why are the MAgic Kingdom resorts ( deluxe) so much higher than Epcot (deluxe) right now???

Has this been flip-flopped before, or whats your take on this????

In my experience the Magic Kingdom resorts have always been higher because of the monorail.

The monorail resorts have always cost more than BWI and YC/BC for as long as I can remember. :confused3

for the heck of it, i priced out our may 8-18 vaca (we're already booked at the BWVs ).
average per night (variables include availability, room, view, etc - i used disney's average)
MK (monorail) resorts:
GF $714
Poly $560
CR $443

EPCOT resorts:
BC $655
BWI $482
YC $471

GF is the most expensive WDW resort, so no surprise there. the monorail resorts actually have the distinction of the highest and lowest priced deluxe resorts.....EPCOT resorts were in the middle.

our dates are within the F&GF at EPCOT, but i tried other dates without any EPCOT or DHS events, and the results were similar.
btw, we've had stays at all the deluxes since WDW opening, and found as above: monorail and EPCOT resorts were pretty close in pricing (again, GF higher).
hth:)
