Spring in the air, tears in my eyes, oh my will I survive this ride!?!-pg 6&7, 10/22

Caught up on your pictures/updates before I left for work this morning so I could see pics. ;)

You know I love pictures with Jeremy because that boy knows how to work it for the camera.

So, how long is your drive to WDW? I am impressed that you guys drove all night. I am thinking of driving in October 2013 because we are going to do a 2 week trip (our youngest will be in college), but I don't think we would be good at doing the all night driving thing.

I love the F&G festival. The topiaries are so lovely!

We stayed at the BWV (just Denny and I) for part of our June trip and I really loved it there. I especially loved that quiet pool over by the inn side. I never even knew that existed. It was just blissful!

Jeremy was so obviously excited in those pictures you took before you hit the road, so cute!! How old is he again? He looks so tall!

Love all the F&G pictures, such a great time to be in Epcot. I'm afraid Mom is going to think it looks bare without it all. I'll be curious to see here reaction when we get there.

Yay for a DIS meet! DISers are the best, they are the only people who truly understand and can relate to our obsession :goodvibes

Joining the fun.:goodvibes

party: Welcome, glad you are here!!!

Yippee - I have made my appearance!!

That was a crazy night - and y'all were soooo gracious to wait for us to arrive. We had been somewhere during the day and were coming over for dinner from our resort (first and last time I'll stay at All Star Sports!) and it took forever - like an hour and a half or something crazy like that. Thank you for waiting so that we could say HI again!

I love that we have been going at the same time - but I missed you in May - and will miss you again on our next trips - we'll have to try to coordinate sometime!

And look at you with all your updates - most impressive!!!

It was so nice seeing you again. I know, it will be weird not seeing you on this trip. This will be our last trip to WDW until 2014. We are planning a Disneyland Thanksgiving vacation in 2013. I am hoping that we like cruising as I would like to do a 7 night caribbean cruise in 2014 followed by a week at WDW. But who knows, I have said I will not go back for a year and then we go 3 times!!! :lmao:

Get ready, I have the next days pictures loaded so if all goes well, I may update again!!! I am on a roll......................at least for now. :)

i love the whole Boardwalk area, one of these days I'm gonna stay there and at the beach club (cross ur fingers)

I loved staying at the BW. That area is so fun and it so nice being close to Epcot and DHS. My dream would be to stay at the Beach Club. I would love Stormalong Bay. I have never had any luck getting in there with our DVC points and I won't pay that much for a run. Oh well, I can always dream....:cutie:

I am enjoying your report. Thank you for sharing

:welcome: Glad you are here! Thank you for reading.

Thank you for the nice compliment. Jeremy drives me crazy taking his picture. I don't know how many times I have told him to get those glasses off his head. He is just like his father. :rolleyes1

With a child, you never get to make it the quiet pools. Jeremy loves that clown slide. It is a fun slide. Just wish that clown had eyes and not stars for eyes. He wouldn't be so scary that way!!! Did you get to try the slide at all?

F&G was wonderful. So pretty and really put you in the mood for spring.

He is 10, will be 11 in Feb. I think he has grown a foot this summer! :scared1:He is almost as tall as me now. He gets his height from Tom. Tom is 6'5. We had open house last night for the gifted program he is in. He is now taller than his teacher. She couldn't get over how much he had grown. She said she would be wearing very high heels every Wednesday so she could be taller than her class. :rotfl:

Wow, I never thought about how Epcot would look without the flowers if you had never been. Curious to see what she thinks.

Tell me about it. I love the Dis and all the friends I have made on here. No one gets it at home. I constantly have a friend that makes fun of it. I finally told her one day I was tired of hearing it. They went to the MK a few years ago and she called me in the middle of their visit upset because they got into it and her husband left her with the kids to go ride rides. She is a germaphobe and I could see her washing them every time they touched something there. I bet it was miserable for all of them. Not a happy place at all! ::yes::

I'm here!!! :cool1: This is going to be such a fun TR with so many other things thrown in.

Wow you are off and running!!!

I just have an 8 or so hour drive and while mine is not too long if the price is right I fly.:lmao:

What better way to wait for your room then walk around EPCOT.
I do need to stay BWV sometime. I bet if you book right at 7 months you should get BCV.

On our Way!!!
waiting for school to let out at 3:50. Tom picked Jeremy up at school instead of waiting on the bus to bring him home.

By the look of things, I think I had one happy boy when he came home.

That is one of the best smiles I've ever seen in a Jeremy picture! You definitely caught him in a moment. Love it!

Dinner was a first for us. I should have mentioned earlier that on this trip, we only did the quick service dining plan. Jeremy and I did that in November and still had credits we burned in the end. Tom gets aggravated being committed to a certain time to eat. So, we gave quick service a try. I will tell you now, it was okay but for 8 days....it was too much. We went out to dinner two nights just to get a break from counter service. Now, with that said, I did have one of our best counter service meals this night. It was a first for us...we ate dinner at Sunshine Seasons in the Land at Epcot.

I would have a very hard time with 8 days of CS. Breakfast and lunch, no problem but dinners would be hard! I need to give SS another chance, it's never done anything for me but everyone loves it so.

I believe that at this point, the day was getting the best of us. We hopped on the monorail and rode to the ticket counter and then to MK. Jeremy likes riding the monorail so it was a fun thing for him and the lazy way for us to get back to the room. :rotfl2: We hopped a Boardwalk bus and was soon back in our room and fast asleep.

lazy maybe but certainly not a quick way to get to bed. LOL!

Hi Erika!
I'm here and will try to keep up!
The family picture of you all in Epcot is awesome!
Can't wait to read more!

I have had little DIS time this week, with Sophie's arrival. So glad I got to check in here before you got much farther.

Jeremy looks ready to go!!!
He is also looking very much like he wants to be a teenager. ;) He definitely looks older than the last time I saw him in person.

I love seeing the pretty flowers at Epcot! I am already soooo excited about my March trip. I have gone every spring for several years, but I missed last year, and I am chomping at the bit to be at F&G again. There is something very special about a spring trip after a cold, gray winter.

I would prefer to fly any day! Tom on the other had likes to drive. He likes having the car if he wants to go off property. Anytime I can find flights cheap enough to outweigh the cost of fuel, he will fly. Any more, that is very rare!

My problem is that I always book a trip last minute or past the 7 month window so no BC. :confused3 I did like staying BWV. I enjoy that entire area.

That is one of the best smiles I've ever seen in a Jeremy picture! You definitely caught him in a moment. Love it!

Thank you! He was VERY excited that day to be heading to WDW. I am sure being out of school for a week didn't help either. :lmao:

8 days of CS was waaaaay tooooo long. You can get some good options beyond the normal burger and fries but you have to be creative and willing to go to those places. We will never do it again, unless it is just for a few days. You should try SS again. We liked it a lot.

I'm enjoying your trip report! Looks like a fun time! :)

Welcome, glad you are here. :) We did have a great time.

Welcome Anita! Glad you are here. I know what you mean about keeping up. It is hard for me to do as well. I just got an Iphone for work and I think I might do better. I loved the Dis app. :thumbsup2

Welcome MeMom, glad you are here! Sophie is such a cutie. :cutie: So happy for you and your family.

Jeremy is really growing up. He has grown probably a foot this summer. He is becoming such a young man.

I  F&G. It will probably be a few years before we go back so I will look forward to all your great pictures this year.

It looks like you had a great time! I am loving the pictures!

Welcome, glad you are here. :) We did have a great time.

Today would be a day of a lot of Disney first for us. First up, morning EMHs. We have never done these. Typically, we avoid the parks with EMHs. However, knowing that it was Easter week and the crowds were there, we thought it might be a good idea to give them a try. The plan was to go early and hit the pool early afternoon after a morning of fun.

We were up bright and early and at the bus stop to hit the MK EMH.

We got to the park just as the opening show had ended. The train wasn't running yet which is usually the first thing Jeremy wants to do. So, we decided to walk to fantasyland up Main Street. But wait, something was coming out that we have always wanted to do but seem to miss.

We turned and hightailed it back and were the first in line to ride the horse-driven trolley! :cheer2:

IMG_0162.jpg

The driver was so nice and talked to us for quite a while. She kept trying to get people to get one but no one would. Finally, it filled up and we were off.

IMG_0163.jpg

I think I saw this smile a few days ago!!! He was very happy and excited.

The trolley takes you up Main Street and drops you off at the castle. After that first, it was time for our second first of the day---the new Dumbo in Fantasyland. Wow, couldn't believe there was no wait.

Jeremy and I rode together and for once, Tom rode by himself. I think he was as excited as Jeremy and I was. Can you tell!!!

Some pictures from up above!!!

I can't wait to see this area when it is complete. We will be there Thanksgiving week when the previews start. I will have more on this in my pre-trip part but I will go ahead and tell you that we our going to be eating at Be Our Guest!!! :cheer2:Verrrry excited about this!!!

Dumbo was fun. The lines did get longer in the week since there was only one up and working and no fast pass. They were always long when we went back at night so I am hoping to ride at Thanksgiving at night. It looks amazing in the dark.

Up next was our third first for the day!!! The new barnstormer. Jeremy has loved this ride since he was a kid and today was no different.

IMG_0191.jpg

The queue was very cool looking. I love the new Disney queues. It is a lot of fun now walking to the rides.

IMG_0193.jpg

There were several rides on the barnstormer this time as once again, there were no lines. Jeremy rode several times by himself.

Here comes one happy boy!!! It had been a wonderful morning so far. We were loving EMHs.

IMG_0201.jpg

It was time to head somewhere different even though I think Jeremy could have stayed on the barnstormer all day.

We headed to Winnie the Pooh and played some in the queue line (which had no one in it) before we rode.

It was time to ride.

It was then on to Snow White for one last time before it closed.

Jeremy tried to get the sword out of the stone but it wouldn't budge.

IMG_0221.jpg

Peter Pan had a line so we headed toward Liberty Square and rode Haunted Mansion.

IMG_0222.jpg

These two had been having too much fun this morning and needed some time out!!!

IMG_0223.jpg

The crowds were starting to come and it had been a great morning. So, we decided to head out of the park. Of course, we were going to do a little shopping along the way. The Easter Bunny was coming tomorrow and he needed some Disney things for Jeremy's Easter Basket! ;)

On the way out, we had our fourth first for the day! We had never seen the complete show so we stood and watched. It was so much fun and festive in their Easter best.

On the way out of the park, I was hoping that some characters would be out that I was wanting to see and never had before at Disney. Lucky for me they were out so on to our fifth first of the day---meeting Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny!

Jeremy wasn't too thrilled at first (and neither was Tom) but they indulged me and got in line with me.

I had a really great picture of all three of us on Photopass but let it expire before I purchased it. :confused3

Up Next:

Our eggciting 6th first!

An eggcellent display.

Can anyone guess where we went?
